Yesterday's strike in Lebanon may finish the market?

I haven't seen a pager for 25 years didn't know still available.

Pagers on Tuesday then two-way radios on Wednesday. Clever buggers them Israelis. Wonder what's next?

Takes away any attempt of a coordinated defence should Israel decide to enter Lebanon. US is saying this is unlikely but I can't think of a better reason

Funny, but I didn't hear them speaking out about that or crying out about the 12 children Hezbollah killed in Israel with rockets. Only crickets, but when Israel acts on terrorist organizations they are up in arms crying genocide and war crimes.

hardly indiscriminately. the only people in possession of the pagers and walkie talkies were hezbolla terrorists, (and the iranian ambassador,) who rejoiced publicly when the world trade centre was attacked and whose stated aim is to rid israel of every jew.

this is a war, you cant expect one side to fight a powerfully armed and backed terrorist group with its hands tied behind their back, and there will always be "collateral" damage, and in this case with nearly 4000 explosions, a death toll of only 30 seems like an excellent result.

that 3000 hezbolla terrorists will have been blinded, maimed and emasculated and rendered permanently inoperative merely confirms that this operation was a masterstroke by the israelis. and now that they are in total confusion without many of their mid level operatives, their communication systems destroyed and their hospitals busy to bursting point, this would be the perfect time for the israelis to totally finish them off.

Indeed, it was brilliant. Hezbollah is now basically unable to effectively communicate, which obviously makes launching their terrorist attacks difficult at best.

With phones, walkie talkies and pagers off the list, there pretty much is only smoke signals and pigeons. Strangely congruent with the society they wish to build.

lebanon never asked for hezbolla, they were implanted there by the iranians and the syrians years ago and just like hamas in gaza they took over, living amongst the civilian population empowere by iranian money and tech, and in wars it is an unfortunate fact of life that innocents get killed and injured, and sometimes as history has shown us time and time again, the only way to get peace is through war.

Agreed there are 2 sides in this conflict

1 Those who are seeking peace and a just settlement so all may live in harmony as achived in inter alia, Vietnam, Germany, Ireland, S Africa, Cyprus even if old differences remain the arguments are verbal or diplomatic unlike Mid East or Ukraine.
