I've explained it already.

I believe, from what I saw on TV, bear in mind I could be wrong, that it is viewed that TD is a forum where only a few posters get involved because if you're not part of the in crowd, then your opinion counts for shit.

I've heard the same thing said about TV on this forum, but don't pay it much attention as what happens on other forums are of little interest to me.

Yes & no. They have flats - but the rent & council tax is paid by the DHSS. They also get Sky TV for free. It's a very grey area.
It is interesting to note that a traumatised soldier coming back from Iraq, who isn't capable of working or whatever because of the hard time they had in the war doesn't get an automatic right to a council house & either has to sleep on the streets or live off donations from the Poppy Fund.
