Well, the boy chancellor pissing billions into the wind of BoJo's profligacy has claimed that COVID is the gravest threat to Britain's economy but both the BoE governor and the head of the Office for Budgetary Responsibility have proclaimed otherwise stating that a no-deal Brexit poses a far greater danger.
Nice to know that every member of this rotten, corrupted, unprincipled Tory cabinet is a lying cvunt.
They are expecting millions of unemployed in the coming months in the UK, it's going to be a blood bath, and the EU won't be here to bail England out like they did in 1974
Well, recent reports suggest concssions by Barnier have not been equalled by the fat clown BoJo and as a consequence I think the EU's patience has run out with Barnier no longer participating in one-to-one talks.
It really is a measure of just how fucking stupid the English are. Risking 2% of GDP over a fucking newspaperful of kippers and a few warty peasant seamen too stupid to process their industry is worth fuck all.
In a way I am really looking forward to a WTO Brexitania with its destruction of manufacturing and food processing industries.
A £ at 34 baht, 1 EUR and a $1.10 is a fucking certainty now but the chaos in Blighty will be worth it.
You have to understand, if that is indeed possible PAG given your innate stupidity, that despite the bombastic rhetoric from Jackass BoJo and the dribbling Gove a no-deal separation would b catastrophic for Britain and there would be no hiding the consequences from even the dimmest Brit. Right up TO the moment BoJo signed the WA he said NI would remain in the EU over his dead body. Well, we know what happened there even if the moron is now trying to repeal it administratively but should he persist then the UK will be sanctioned by Ireland, the EU and the US.
Brexit is a function of stupidity and in this Tory government we have perhaps the apogee of imbecility to lead it to its natural end; recession, unemployment, stagflation and very, very shitty food.
I gather we are hearing the fat lady warming up for her final aria. Friday looks like deal or no deal time with the EU preparing to walk away from jackass BoJo and his rabble if they don't want to pay for those cherries. One cannot underestimate this Tory trash's capacity for stupidity and no deal is looking likely. The EU should have upped stumps a month ago as soon as the slimeballs reneged on the NI deal. BoJo is a creep without honour and not worth negotiating with. A man who is a congenital liar who deceived his wife and children, his friends, his employers and the country is scarcely likely to stick to any trade agreement so these negotiations are really quite redundant.
No deal 1.1. 21, Kent gridlocked back to the M25, food and medicines running short and manufacturing seizing up will see the £ plunge for sure.
The three Retardos, the pattaya bar fly, troy and Bott fly have been prophesying the Brits capitulation for four years now and with less than a month to go It still hasn't happened. At least bottfly had the decency to stay off this thread after being proven so wrong. I'm sure the barfly will realise how wrong he was when and if he ever sobers up, while Troy is far too preoccupied with eating kartoffelpuffers from Frau Merkels nether regions to recognise anything remotely to do with Brexit reality.
According to the EU, it all rests on member states meeting after 18th November? That should be interesting.
We will see.
I recall over the past 4 years, those doomsayers forecasting that there would be an exodus of financial services jobs migrating to the EU. Of course that hasn't happened, and if anything international institutions are entrenching themselves further into the UK.
An example from this morning's Times (Page not found | The Times & The Sunday Times
The head of Switzerland’s biggest bank has said that Brexit will not threaten London’s position as Europe’s dominant financial centre, as long as the European Union countries’ regulations were fragmented and they were competing with each other to attract business.
Axel Weber, chairman of UBS, told an online Financial Times global banking summit: “The division of Europe is a massive benefit to the City of London because if Europe were united the impact . . . of Brexit would be much more.
UBS has more than 5,000 staff in London and has moved only up to 250 to the European Union.
“When we get asked why don’t you move more jobs to Europe, show me a European landscape that offers the same opportunities,” he said.
Since Brexit there has been an outflow from the UK to the EU financial centres of £1 trillion and, to date, 7,000 jobs.
FDI inflows of course fluctuate but the post Brexit trend up to 2018 was downward, in one year a near record fall of 40%. This has since reversed following the signing of a WA and optimism that a trade deal meeting mutual targets would also be signed. As of this morning that is looking increasingly doubtful and certainly if the Tory trash proceed with the offending sections to the heralded Finance Bill, reinforcing BoJo's reneging on the NI trade protocols, in the event of a no deal outcome inspired by the Brexiteer intransigence, then the financial landscape will be altered radically.
The US has already signalled a reversal of Trumpism and Biden/Pelosi have specifically warned there will be no trade if the IM and Finance Bills are passed. The EU have already laid the ground for sanctions under international law.
The failure in the British policy as conceived by the Brxit loons is now apparent to all. The UK's OBR, th Bank of England, the OECD and any number of meaningful economic observers have all agreed that a no-deal outcome and the reneging on international agreements by BoJo will cost the UK dear and for many the consequences will be catastrophic with losses in the region of 4-6% in annual GDP.
But PAG you misunderstand my position. I want a no-deal outcome, I want to see Britain in chaos, I want to see the car industry destroyed as Nissan, BMW and Toyota quit, I want to see the aviation industry destroyed when Airbus quit Broughton and Filton losing 100,000 jobs, I want to see the UK's food processing industry collapse as it struggles to deal with a self-imposed tariff wall of up to 30%, I want to see the British fishing industry destroyed as 70% of its entire catch previously sold to EU markets rots, I want to see the inexorable drift to Scottish independence speed up as the Scottish suffer penury because of English stupidity, I want to see NI in flames again as the reality of English perfidy casts its dead hand of oppression over th Irish provoking a popular movement for reunificatio - in short, I want to see the destruction of the United Kingdom as it fractures and leaves Engerlandia alone in the world with its vassal principality Wales sucking its wee cock.
The fall in the £ is but a small price to pay to see and hear the caterwauling of the stupid English as their pixie-dusted fantasy dreams of resurgent Brexitania turn to alum in their lumpen maw.

Err... no and neither have you, that's why you just post rhetorical questions. Covid 19 will continue to cloud many economic issues of Brexit and no doubt add to some teething problems.
One wonders how far the global temperature will rise before you understand you need to stop driving your car and using fossil fuels.
I just thought you shouldn't be alone alone in making a stupid statement.
BTW Britain hasn't left yet. Now back to your kartoffelpuffers. Frau M is waiting.
He's a blithering idiot, completely oblivious to his mind-boggling ignorance.
The various economic authorities across the board, save for the loony Brexit ones, have all estimated that since 2016 the UK has lost in growth and FDI around £130 billions and that figure is expected to rise to £200 billions over the next year or so. In terms of post-brexit infrastructural re-modelling of trading protocols, i.e from a tariff free unfettered environment to the BoJo idiocy, the customs clearances imposed by HMRC on traders will cost around £16 billions annually in fees, a figure that of course dwarfs the UK's last EU contribution to remain in the club the entire world queues up to trade with.
Brexiteers are quite simply stupid people and therefore most argument is futile.
The ones here on TD are of course the scrapings of the intellectual barrel.
Thank you for your cockeyed supposition, based on biased and personal hatred of individuals that you pretend to know.
Your liking for estimates, based on an unknowable future, and the denigration and insulting commentary, railing against individuals that you dislike because they don’t follow your twisted logic, is unlikely to win you any new support.
You are a distasteful version of Victor Meldrew, with the addition of foul mouthed expletive ranting. All
this hatred bottled up while you were a prim and proper civil serpent. No wonder you have one foot in the grave.
You seem to be under some delusion that the opinion of the most disliked poster on TD actually counts for something. I've scraped more intelligent beings from the soles of my shoes. A tefler at the ass end of the world with an attitude and tickets on himself. Jeezus H what a loser. It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic.
Irrespective of your gratuitous ad hominem, his point remains both valid and true, you are an idiot.
Nearly a year after the UK exited.
Ad hom can't disguise the giveaway that he hasn't got the foggiest idea what he's talking about.
He's repeatedly shown himself up to be the biggest tit on the entire forum, certainly putting anything belonging to a bulbous Canadian completely in the shade.
