When did the Middle East countries join the EU? Asking for a retarded friend who thinks there will be fuel shortages after Brexit. Norway are curious too as to when they joined.

So a German recession would actually be good for the EU. It will also force Germany into more domestic spending and growth, which is no bad thing.

Meanwhile in la-la land trade surplus is still a pipe dream.

Germany prints money for the EU central bank to give to national regional banks to give loans to customers to buy German products, this has been very well detailed by German economists. So, Germany no longer has the money to give to others to buy German products, and German manufacturing is in a downturn. Does anybody think that will end well???

I wouldn't be putting unrefined tanker oil into your hairdresser affair if I were you.

Apparently, problem is with cheap stuff flooding the market after the zero tariff brainwave. Scaremongering about it hitting local refineries with a long term possibility they'll go out of business.

I mentioned a long tailback at Dover when I came over a couple of weeks ago. It was caused by bad weather cancelling overnight sailings. That caused a lorry tailback to Folkestone. Hate to think what a Calais work to rule would cause.

WTF are you talking about now? The issue is Germany and how it has massively benefited from from EU membership to the detriment of others, of course a trade surplus is good but for every surplus there is a deficit somewhere else to make the books balance. Kind of goes against the ethos of the EU when after the crash the richest country gets even richer while Southern Europe burns. And the average German still resents bailing out their Southern neighbours. The biggest mistake the EU ever made was the Euro and that will be its undoing come the next major crisis when Southern Europe burns again.

Have all refineries in the UK closed or is that going to happen after Brexit? As to Calais the mayor of Calais himself has said there will be no disruption in the event of no deal Brexit but of course he isnt as clued up as some self loathing Europhile Brit. Lucky you missed the blackout the other week when all Eurostar trains were cancelled .

If the US goes into recession which all indicators show it will, suspect UK will follow along with many other Euro countries.

Since when has the UK had a trade surplus, let alone on the scale of Germany.

The remainers need to show that they fully understand how UK parliament works.

Then they can get used to the idea that non of their hysterical ranting will happen. No revoke, No remain, No referendum. Just straight forward Brexit, exactly what was supposed happen months ago.

Too late now for ifs, buts, maybes or any plausible legal challenge. JRM s appointment has neutered the donkey Bercow, so Boris can sit back and enjoy the canapes at the G7.

I post this mainly for the benefit of no mark idiots like butterfly. However, if the cap fits ...........

    Bye bye EU.

That is something the mayor said when Calais port faced competition from proposed additional routes between Europe and Britain so take his words with a pinch of salt.
He can ease the delay for goods going to Britain by adding more customs paper processing staff and not doing any goods inspections but goods coming from Britain will surely be affected by inspections when Britain no longer has to conform to EU standards and regulations.

for Chass, who mistakenly think that Hard Brexit is in the bag,

why would BoJo even borther for a meet if he fucking knew what he was doing and ready to go hard,

he is a soft cock like all UK politicians, bunch of failures and homosexuals in denial

Brexit: PM to meet Angela Merkel with call to scrap backstop
    https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-49416475

Boris Johnson will meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin later, where he is expected to reiterate his call for the Irish border backstop plan to be scrapped.

The PM has said the arrangement to avoid a hard border after Brexit is "anti-democratic" and must be removed to secure a deal.

But the EU has rejected the possibility of any changes to the backstop.

Mr Johnson said the EU's response to his demands was "a bit negative".

However, he said he would enter Brexit talks with "a lot of oomph" and there was "a real sense that something needs to be done" with the backstop.

"We can't get it through Parliament as it is," he added.

The backstop is part of the withdrawal agreement negotiated between Brussels and former Prime Minister Theresa May, which has been rejected by Parliament three times.

Mr Johnson has vowed to do all he can to renegotiate the agreement, but has insisted the UK will leave on 31 October with or without a deal.
