btw, does anyone else remember how at the republican convention the trump campaign changed to the GOP platform on russia?
i wonder why they did that.

why did kushner want to set up back-channel communication with the russians....using russian communication facilities?
could it be that the communications systems were secure and US agencies wouldn't be able to know what they were talking about?
Why did Jared Kushner want a back-channel through Russian facilities? - Business Insider
even bro-flake slick would have to admit the timing on this is curious....
Russian banker Sergey Gorkov brushes off questions about meeting with Jared Kushner - ABC NewsST. PETERSBURG, Russia – A top Russian bank official who met privately with Jared Kushner shortly after Donald Trump’s election brushed off questions Thursday about the purpose of the meeting, which was scheduled at the request of Russia’s U.S. ambassador and came at a time Kushner’s real estate business was confronting significant financial stress.
“We have absolutely nothing to add,” said Sergey Gorkov
....
The White House confirmed in March that Kushner met in December with Gorkov at the suggestion of the Russian ambassador, Sergei Kislyak, following a report on the meeting in The New York Times.
https://www.axios.com/muellers-tanta...459134518.htmlMueller’s tantalizing new lead on Don Jr. meeting
"The Russian lawyer who met with the Trump team after a promise of compromising material on Hillary Clinton was accompanied by a Russian-American lobbyist."
They did not name that lobbyist, who they report is a former Soviet counter-intelligence officer. They also add that the lobbyist is suspected of maintaining ties to Russian intelligence, per their sources in U.S. government.
"Veselnitskaya acknowledged to NBC News that she was accompanied by at least one other man, though she declined to identify him."
Why it matters: Matt Miller, an MSNBC contributor and former Obama Justice Department official, tells Axios' Mike Allen: "This is important: means there is someone [Russia probe special counsel Robert] Mueller can subpoena who is not part of the Trump family/staff to find out what happened. He probably couldn't get his hands on the Russian lawyer, but he can get his hands on this person."
Then the wrinkle: NBC's Hallie Jackson spoke with Trump Jr. lawyer Alan Futerfas.
He told her:
"The person was described as a friend of Emin [Agalarov]'s and maybe as a friend of Natalia [Veselnitskaya]'s."
"He is a U.S. citizen. He told me specifically he was not working for the Russian government, and in fact laughed when I asked him that question."
Futerfas claimed Trump Jr. was not aware of the man's background, although "for the purpose of security or otherwise, the names were reviewed."
"I have absolutely no concerns about what was said in that meeting."
by whom? why was the little one targeted? who would gain from the setup?Originally Posted by longway
Its such a 'coincidence' isnt it. A russian lawyer allowed in personally by lynch and who was supposed give dirt on clunkton to don jr but had nothing, despite numerous mails carefully spelling out in great detail about the dirt she possesed and who she was representing, then is found gallavanting around with the obama admin a few days later.
Apparently her fb page is filled with anti trump schtick too.
Nothing to see here folks, its just a coincidence.

I think you need to answer how trump could be colluding with the russians if the russian government used a miss universe publicist to contact don jr to pass on damaging info on clunkton.
And given that trump is defending his son
Is the don jr 'matter' a nothingburger? or is trump a stand up guy who will stick up for his family even though it could damage him personally?
Which is it?

...so what you're saying is that Drumpf supporters don't mind that Jnr tried to collude with a foreign power and then repeatedly lied about it and that they blame 'libtards' for the whole thing?Originally Posted by longway
Err ok, is that supposed to be news?
The most curious thing about Trumptards isn't that they don't mind being lied to, it's that after being lied to they actively try to rationalize and excuse the fact they've been lied - trying to blame every/anyone other than the person who lied to them - even if that requires perilous contortions of logic gymnastics.
It's kinda like the syndrome of victims of domestic violence blaming others for interfering and not the person who is abusing them.
There are posters on this thread, always libtards, who never talk about posts, but only about their opinions of the posters. What sad sacks of slimy sh1t they are, why are they even here?.
If the dims had not created such a frenzy about 'teh Russians' the don Jr meeting would have had a greater impact. After all that shrieking all you have is a 15 minute meeting in which nothing happened. You can keep shrieking about it all you want, but undermines the entire narrative that the dims have been peddling for the last 9 months, and is a nothing burger unless a law was broken. It's going to be very frustrating for you loons.
The dims should perhaps actually try and produce policies to improve the lives of U.S. citizens instead.
Unfortunately for you Chicken Little did not start the multiple investigations based on clear evidence of Russian interference, nor did the Dems.
Nor did they appoint a special counsel to do an independent investigation.
They might have a hand in impeachment motions though. That all depends on orangecuntocare.
this is all unwinding very quickly....much quicker than i think anyone anticipated.
there was another individual at the meeting between the kremlin connected russian lawyer, li'l donny, jared and paul manafort.
who was that individual, you might ask?
Rinat Akhmetshin
who?
