That's a lot of money - why, it's about one third of the $3.2bn dollars pledged annually for the next decade to Israel by the US government (ie US taxpayer) for military assistance alone- this does not fall under the auspice of "Official development assistance'.

Perhaps the US taxpayer should show similarly absurd generosity to the UK, which has an air force less than half the size of Israel.
