Madeleine Westerhout: White House aide fired after leaks on Trump family

US President Donald Trump's personal assistant has been forced to resign from the White House after leaking private information about his family.
Madeleine Westerhout, 29, was abruptly removed on Thursday after the president learned she had been talking to reporters at a dinner this month.
She was drinking and bragging about her access to Mr Trump during his holiday in New Jersey, CBS News reports.
Ms Westerhout had worked with him since the first day of his presidency.

    ---

President Trump commented Friday on the abrupt departure of his longtime personal assistant and director of Oval Office operations Madeleine Westerhout, confirming to reporters on the White House South Lawn that Westerhaot had apparently been drinking when she commented on the president's children to reporters.

Mr. Trump called Westerhout a "good person" and declared the entire situation "unfortunate," scolding the press for sharing details of an off-the-record conversation.
Mr. Trump said he loves his younger daughter, Tiffany, after Politico reported Westerhout said the president doesn't like to appear in pictures with her.

    ^ Following on ...

“Madeleine Westerhout, who left her White House job suddenly on Thursday as President Trump’s personal assistant, was fired after bragging to reporters that she had a better relationship with Trump than his own daughters, Ivanka and Tiffany Trump, and that the president did not like being in pictures with Tiffany because he perceived her as overweight,” Politico reported.

    ---

President Donald Trump‘s run in the 2020 election is bound to be highly contested, and it seems one of his adult children won’t be playing a role in it.
Trump’s youngest daughter, Tiffany Trump, is “not expected to play any role in the campaign, apart from appearing at the occasional event,” according to Politico.

“Members of the Trump family are valued advisors and integral parts of the campaign,” a rep for Trump’s 2020 campaign tells PEOPLE in response to Politico‘s report. “Their input and involvement were key to victory in 2016 and will be so again in 2020.”

Tiffany, 25, is the only child of Trump’s marriage to Marla Maples, which lasted from 1993 to 1999.

I think it's a combination of Putin having enough filth on him to destroy him, and enough evidence of financial crime to jail him.

This one appears to have slipped under the radar:

Trump has recently urged the Army Corps to award a contract to a company he favors, North Dakota-based Fisher Industries, though the firm has not been selected. Fisher has been aggressively pushed by Trump ally Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.), who briefly held up the confirmation of a Trump budget office nominee last month in an attempt to put pressure on the Army Corps.
Cramer demanded to see the contracts awarded to Fisher’s competitors, lashing out at the “arrogance” of the Army Corps in emails to military officials after he was told the bidding process involved proprietary information that could not be shared. The CEO of Fisher Industries is a major backer of Cramer and has donated to his campaigns.
"In other words, Trump is pressuring a government agency to give a contract for his wall to a company whose chief executive is a donor to one of his top GOP allies in Congress."

Trump extends his congratulations to Poland on the 80th anniversary of being invaded by Nazi Germany. WTF? His ignorance is astounding.

That's the very usual wording nowadays, the Nazis came obviously from NaziLand (or Mars?).

Then, the Frau Merkel can have been invited to celebrate the Victory over Nazis, not over Germans... (Whilst modestly forget to invite the ones who won the War...)

His chief advisor Stephen Miller is a white nationalist and a Nazi. So why would you be surprised?

Still getting it wrong after so many years . . . making fun of Trump (rightfully) yet saying Poland was "smashed by Nazis" . . . Poland was 'smashed' by the German Army. Nazis were members of the national socialist workers party and some were in the armed forces.
    Quibbles.

The point is that Poland was invaded by a neighbouring country. Offering congratulations to the country that was invaded is odd at best, but more likely an indicator of Trump's declining faculties.

Wrong again. WTF is wrong with this retard?

Donald Trump has sown confusion about Hurricane Dorian, repeatedly wrongly claiming that Alabama was set to be hit by the storm and that he had “never even heard of a category 5 storm”, despite having said the same thing at least four times previously.

Trump’s comments came on Sunday as the Bahamas was pounded by Hurricane Dorian, with fears the “catastrophic” storm could lead to devastating damage and loss of life, and the south-east coast of the US braced for storm surges, extreme winds and heavy rainfall.

Earlier on Sunday, Trump tweeted that Alabama would be hit by the storm, “most likely … (much) harder than anticipated”. The claim was quickly refuted by the National Weather Service office in Birmingham Alabama, which tweeted that Alabama would “NOT” see any effects from Dorian.
