Yeah Sure , it will all come out in the wash ,but if there is any chance of a whitewash it will be applied ,to save Merkel being further embarrassed than she already is .

Indeed. I remember a case of murder in the UK many years ago. Police interviewed hundreds of people who were nearby at around the time of the murder. Later the police said that the majority of those who said they saw or heard something, simply could not have heard or seen what they said they did.

Press conference live ongoing. No mention if he was Moslem. Sounds like he was, I guess they would have mentioned if he was not.. No signs for islamic motivation yet. A book on teenage amok. His handweapon was illegal, he had still plenty of ammunition, hundreds of shots. It was prepared well in advance. Not a sudden decision. His weapon was a Glock, for those who know more about weapons than me.

Much material on his computer which has not yet been evaluated.

I think it's more to do with investigating the facts before jumping to conclusions. I don'think religion had much to do with this...and not very much to laugh about either.

Germans did well to contain the situation...some lessons for all to learn.

this nasty bag of shite obtained a gun and went into a public place and intentionally opened fire on whoever was nearest to him, before cravenly putting a bullet through his own head.

Munich Police President Hubertus Andrae says the gunman had no known links to the so-called Islamic State group

The gunman who killed nine people in Munich was obsessed with mass shootings and had an obvious link to Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik, German police say.

Police who searched the 18-year-old's room say they found written material on attacks.

The gunman, who later killed himself, had a 9mm Glock pistol and 300 bullets.

Police are investigating whether he may have lured his victims through a Facebook invitation to a restaurant.
He is suspected of using a fake account under a girl's name to invite people to the McDonald's restaurant where he launched his attack.

Friday evening's attack at the Olympia shopping mall also left 27 people injured, including children.
Three of the victims were from Kosovo. The father of one of them, 21-year-old Dijamant Zabergja, was photographed holding a photo of his son near the mall on Saturday. The other two were young women.

Police say the gunman had been in psychiatric care, receiving treatment for depression.
