^^ maybe he's come back to Brussels specially to meet her; it's easy to see why one would:

I previously supported Scottish independence, but this timing just won't work. The Scots need to wait and see how things pan out, actually, they don't have the option...

A much more valid argument at this time, if it can be mutually agreed (I mean between the two Irish countries) would be Irish reunion. If the North want to stay in Europe then now would be a good time to fully integrate with the South; of course, that'd have to wait until after Brexit was complete too, but preparations could certainly be made.
    Cycling should be banned!!!

I see a united Ireland as being on the cards, sooner than an independent Scotland.

Are you addicted to ketamine or is it only a Glastonbury thing?

What makes you think that Scotland will become independent in a hurry?

The Scots voted against independence, 44.70% voted Yes, with 55.30% voting No.

There's a growing move towards a United Ireland, and after Brexit comes into effect the Irish are going to want better control of their borders than UK may be able to afford.

Bear in mind that both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland have no desire to exit the EU,.....so far.
