Jobs shock: 100% of female employment gains taken by foreigners since 2007

All of the employment gains among women since the recession hit in December 2007 have been taken by foreigners,
even at a time when the numbers of U.S.-born women surged more than 600,000, according to new federal statistics.

The jobs data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics
showed gains in the "employment level" among "foreign born women" and losses among "native born women."

Thanks for the FYI Harry. My bad.

Here is the link: Jobs shock: 100% of female employment gains taken by foreigners since 2007 | Washington Examiner
    Interesting:

Overall, nearly 25 million foreign workers, men and women, hold jobs inside the United States, according to a Senate immigration expert.

I wonder how many of those are jobs that seppos are too lazy or too stupid to do.

I mean, would you employ Booners to do anything with any degree of difficulty?

Yet he'd probably still refuse to pick oranges.

Please show data that is statistically valid that states that WOMEN in the US are too lazy or stupid to do the work.

You're missing the point on the both comments.

But I am waiting for your reply.

You might want to add the H1-B VISA data while you do your research to answer my question.

    We are waiting.

The borders stay open to let all the cheap workers in so that the big businesses and rich can get cheaper and cheaper slaves, which has the nasty side effect of vast swathes of long term unemployment. No matter how much these bastard politicians fudge the figures, unemployment is a huge problem
And that is exactly why we need "immigration reform". We don't need to be giving out green cards to illegals but we do need to get them identified and on some sort of work permit. If they want to work for shit wages and live 15 to an apartment it's fine by me as long as they pay taxes.

He is/was educated smart, and drove truck back in the US.

The pays is lackluster once you calculate the hours in.

He tells me he would rather die than ever do that job again.

Fair enough, but my point is, there are PLENTY of US citzens who will do this job.

If only ILLegals or recent immigrants, what does that say about this industry, this country and also, about where we, as a country are headed?

    To the bottom.

The trucking industry does pay decent wages and not enough people will go into the industry. Entry level is over $35K a year after the first year. People don't want to be away from their families or move to where the open routes are. My cousin makes over $50K a year and only works 26 weeks a year ... 2 weeks out and two weeks home. people don't have the patience to work long enough for the seniority for those sweet gigs. And pay has been getting progressively better the past decade or so. Last I read there were over 250,000 job openings on any given day. Why can't the jobs be filled? Same reason people can't join the military ... Can't pass the drug test screens out quite a few people. History of DUIs is another biggie.

    Right!

Says an IT drone who works in the Sand Box

ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIME ACCOUNTS FOR OVER 30% OF MURDERS IN MANY STATES

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump deserves credit for forcing all 17 Republican candidates to talk about the social costs of illegal immigration, but it is not “Trump’s issue.” We will be making a fatal mistake if we let the media discuss it that way.

As Ann Coulter has pointed out, this is the most critical issue of the 2016 race because this is the issue that will define whether or not there will even be an American nation recognizable as the “home of the free and land of the brave.”

But illegal immigration is not “Ann Coulter’s issue” any more than it is “Tom Tancredo’s issue.” It is America’s issue — not only because it will define America in the 21st Century but because it also defines American elections and who will be voting in elections in 2020 and beyond. It also illuminates the power of the mainstream media to keep issues off the national stage.

Think of illegal immigration this way: If the liberal media can keep illegal alien crime out of the “kitchen table debate,” they can keep any issue out of the debate. And they will if they can get away with it. For those reasons, illegal immigration is much more than an issue of public policy; it is the poster child for media malpractice.

The media’s attempt to suppress public awareness over illegal alien crime and the effects of illegal immigration on American workers’ jobs and wages is nothing less than censorship on a massive scale. We need to start talking about it in those terms and hold the media accountable for the lack of ethical standards.

The mainstream media – including, sadly, major segments of the presumably conservative media, like the Wall Street Journal — are working overtime to keep the American public and the American voters in the dark on the scope of illegal alien crime. The murder of Kate Steinle in San Francisco exposed only the tip of a massive iceberg, and the media establishment is desperate to avoid dealing with the iceberg underneath.

Let’s look at a few numbers. You haven’t seen them in the New York Times, Atlanta Constitution, or the Miami Herald, nor have they been featured on NBC Nightly news or CNN. So, the average American is blissfully unaware of them.

Between 2008 and 2014, 40% of all murder convictions in Florida were criminal aliens. In New York it was 34% and Arizona 17.8%.
During those years, criminal aliens accounted for 38% of all murder convictions in the five states of California, Texas, Arizona, Florida and New York, while illegal aliens constitute only 5.6% of the total population in those states.
That 38% represents 7,085 murders out of the total of 18,643.
That 5.6% figure for the average illegal alien population in those five states comes from US Census estimates. We know the real number is double that official estimate. Yet, even if it is 11%, it is still shameful that the percentage of murders by criminal aliens is more than triple the illegal population in those states.

Those astounding numbers were compiled by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) using official Department of Justice data on criminal aliens in the nation’s correctional system. The numbers were the basis for a presentation at a recent New Hampshire conference sponsored by the highly respected Center for Security Policy.

I am a hiring manager and have been for 20+ years in the tech field. Here is what I can tell you from my POV.

In the tech sector it breaks down like this

    * Assembly jobs are usually filled by Vietnamese, Chinese and Filipinos with a very basic education. They have no issue doing mundane assembly jobs that do not require a lot of education or skill and will work for minimum wage.

    * Engineers (Good Ones) have been increasingly hard to find. Most are lazy with little discipline(I just fired a guy 2 weeks ago for that very reason). When I put out a job posting I get hundreds of applicants and maybe 1% are worthy of an interview.

The other fields as commented by my colleagues when we meet up for chats

    * Restaurants are filled with mexicans. while I have no stats a HUGE number of them are illegals and acquire fake SS cards and work a year or so and move on. Funny to see a Chinese restaurant loaded with Mexican cooks.

    * Call centers are usually Indians now. Cisco brings over hundreds of them on 3 month training Visa's, then pack them up and send them to their call centers globally. Filipinos are doing that as well.

    * Gardening and landscaping is primarily illegal mexicans. Many get caught by patrols.

    * Retail is young students part time and older senior citizens.

What has happened is that US businesses hire low cost labor to keep costs inline to keep their bottom-line in the black. They also hire on a temp basis or <32 hours so they do not have to offer benefits. If they cannot do that here in the US they offshore everything to cheap labor. The reason why many jobs are not filled is they are either illegals and can't apply or the pay is so low they are better off on Govt aid or working illegally versus working legitimately. There are so many reasons for this issue and too many to list but one that comes up a lot is the US lacks suitable public transportation for some to get around economically and owning a car here is quite expensive. Example. If a person was making $10.50 an hr working 31 hours a week. They will make ~$320 a week. Claiming 1 and single they might net $240 after taxes. If they have to commute 30 miles per day and lets say their car gets 30 mpg gallon they spend $3.50 (roughly $18 a week). Of course this doesn't account for wear and tear nor insurance which could be upward $25 to $50 a week. I could on. If you include food, rent, and now having to be mandated to have med insurance that person has no life. However coming in as an illegal has its perks.

This is a complicated situation that US government has failed to address and quite frankly cannot. Its out of control and no President is going to have the balls to fix it and even if he did, there are so many roadblocks and people against it that it will not change.

Personally I think they should close the door on immigration for about 10 years. Imagine the money it would save in the gov sector not having to manage it. No more amnesty. If you get caught you get punted. Also included in this mandate is no more Education Visa's or Work Visa's. Let the citizens of the US have an opportunity to become educated and get a job.

Of course none of that is going to happen but it is fun to ponder what it would be like.

Excellent points, JP and concur with your take on shutting down immigration.

Bring or forcibly bring your children with you illegally from Central America. They can be your shields from detention.

By Stephen Dinan - The Washington Times - Friday, August 7, 2015

The country saw another surge of illegal immigrant families crossing the border in July, a top Homeland Security official told a federal court late Thursday as the administration begged a judge not to forbid detention of new migrant mothers and children.

Deputy Border Patrol Chief Ronald Vitiello said the number of illegal immigrant families captured at the border rose in July, bucking a trend and worrying officials who had been expecting the number of families to drop as the heat increases in late summer, just as the number of unaccompanied minors does.

    BD,
There are many fields of "Engineering". Development, Mechanical, Design, Software, Programming. NPI, Transfer. etc. Tradesman are typically found in the private sector. Technicians is vast and almost all are in technical business segments.

I can answer Pseulodus for most areas but I will let him answer.

the fields of engineering I am aware of are basically civil , mech , elec with sub genres of these though I would also add process as one of the top tier in this day and age.

many of the other fields to me are not really engineers in the traditional sense

Whilst I agree that there can never be unfettered immigration and the whole issue is quite complex these US-centric threads always make me chuckle over descendants of immigrants complaining about immigrants and I can't help but picture that "They Took Our Jobs, Took Errr Jerbs, dey turk err jurbz, theeey durrrka duuuuurrr, Durka Durrr" South Park episode.

Plus to paraphrase Louis C.K. if someone with less contacts, money, and cultural familiarity than you took your job then you must be shit.

    Nope,

The task is up to you. You are the one that stated - and initially stated - these were jobs that American women were "too supid" and "too lazy" to do.

    You made this statement above.

    You back it up.
