Kremlin chides ‘rather challenging’ US statements on Nord Stream 2

What Will It Take To Get Rid Of ISIS?-1194374-jpg

"US statements on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project make the situation with its implementation ‘rather challenging," press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.

"The situation is rather challenging against the background of recent statements from Washington. In the opinion of Washington, this project [Nord Stream 2 - TASS] does not correspond to interests of European countries," Peskov said. "The way a question is put is very curious," he said.

"Certainly, this topic will be fairly actively presented in the agenda [of talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Sochi - TASS]. This can be assumed with a high degree of confidence," Peskov added.

Current international and regional problems, including the situation in Syria and Ukraine, will be among topics for talks between Putin and Merkel, the press secretary said. "You know that a significant pause surfaced in work of the Normandy Four and it certainly can be expect that this topic will be covered in detail," Peskov noted.

This meeting will be the first for Putin and Merkel after their reelection and inauguration, the press secretary said. "Any meeting with a leader of the leading nation in the EU is of particular importance," Peskov added."

"Germany expressed their support for the implementation of the Nord Stream-2 pipeline project, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov informed journalists after the negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

"We have heard a confirmation at the level of the chancellor, before that the same confirmation was made by German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas during his last week’s visit to Moscow: Germany supports Nord Stream-2," the Russian foreign minister said.

He added that Germans want to find solutions that would not complicate their relations with the US. Lavrov noted that Russia understands the concerns of Germany and does not wish to create any artificial problems. "We are completely confident that, with good will of the parties, we can find a solution that would satisfy everyone," he concluded".

Some initial doubts, the working day evolves, later the tensions on both sides, are reduced.

The bouquet to the German leader, last time it was a prestigious hawk for the Saudi Prince, produced results. Another successful Russian Government day.

A year goes bye and the Syrian government and allies push the throat slitters into smaller and smaller boxes:

Pink is Syrian controlled, Green is allegedly "friendly" throat slitters or same call "free Syrians" as they are funded by foreigners, Grey is ISIS plus "associates", Yellow is ameristani cannon fodder and Pale Blue is ameristani bosses.

US anti-tank missiles found at former Al-Nusra facility in Syria – Russian MoD
    21 May 2018
US-made TOW anti-tank missiles, along with other weapons, have been found in facilities once controlled by Al-Nusra militants in Syria’s Homs province, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The trove was located in a former observation point of the Al-Nusra Front terrorist group in the liberated Zaafaran settlement in Homs province, the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria said on Monday. “[We] can see here a large number of gas masks, weapons produced abroad, for example, TOW-2 anti-tank guided missiles. The facilities are very well-equipped,” Andrey Nekipelov, an official at the center, stated.

The BGM-71 TOW (Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided) is one of the most widely used anti-tank missiles, which has been produced in the US since the 1970s. The missile has an operational range of more than 3,000 meters and an armor penetration of up to 800 millimeters, depending on the model. The TOW-2 referred to by the Russian MoD is an advanced and upgraded version of the missile.

Hundreds of the missiles have fallen into the hands of various rebel factions during the Syrian conflict. The US-made TOW was reportedly used in an attack on an RT crew in Syria back in 2015.

In 2016, another video published by a Syrian rebel group showed what appeared to be a direct hit by a US-made BGM-71 TOW on the turret of a Russian-supplied T-90 tank of the Syrian Army. A TOW usually devastates its target after a direct hit, causing ammo to explode and killing the crew. The alleged T-90, however, seemed to have been saved by its reactive armor.

TOW was reportedly deployed in the Vietnam War in 1970s, as well as in Afghanistan, Iraq, and a number of other conflict zones where Washington has been engaged in recent decades. Syria has become one of the recent locations where anti-tank missiles were spotted.

Speaking to RT back in 2016, German journalist Jurgen Todenhofer suggested that the US knows that the weapons it delivers to rebels end up with terrorists. “Everybody knows that they are using allies and they are allowing allies... It doesn’t matter if a TOW rocket or a TOW missile, which is an American missile, comes [to terrorists] from another group,” he said at the time.

In fairness the Turks, much like the Russians and Syrians, were happy bombing the fuck out of anybody.

Pompeo says 'terrorist' Iran turned Syria into 'kill zone'. Or did the US?
    Published time: 21 May, 2018

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has blamed Iran for “perpetuating” the 7-year Syrian war, causing a refugee crisis and provoking terrorist attacks in Europe, by supporting the “murderous Assad regime.” Is he correct?

The accusations came as part of Pompeo's 12-point ultimatum to the Islamic Republic delivered on Monday, in which the newly-appointed official slammed its “financing of terror” and “destabilizing activities.” But does Washington have the moral authority to accuse Tehran of malign meddling, and has its own influence brought more peace? Syria is a good test case.

‘We were close to direct conflict between Russia & US inside Syria’ – Bashar Assad
    Published time: 31 May, 2018

Syrian President Bashar Assad says Moscow deterred the West from launching a devastating country-wide air strike last month, and believes that Damascus has nearly won the seven-year war, despite continued US “interference.”

“With every move forward for the Syrian Army, and for the political process, and for the whole situation, our enemies and our opponents, mainly the West led by the United States and their puppets in Europe and in our region, they try to make it farther – either by supporting more terrorism, bringing more terrorists to Syria, or by hindering the political process,” Assad told RT correspondent Murad Gazdiev, during a sit-down interview in Damascus, noting that without outside funding his opponents inside the country could be subdued “within a year.”

After having to switch its support between the various anti-Assad factions, and the recapture of the key cities of Aleppo and Deir ez-Zor by government forces over the past two years, Washington, the Syrian leader believes, is “losing its cards” and can be brought to the negotiating table.

“Our challenge is how can we close this gap between their plans and our plans,” Assad said.

‘World didn’t buy US chemical weapons story’
The Syrian leader believes, however, that the closer the deadly conflict comes to an end, the more desperate his opponents’ measures become. He cited the alleged Douma chemical weapon attack (“Is it in our interest? Why, and why now?” he asks) as a last-ditch Western attempt to sway international opinion – one that failed.

“They told a story, they told a lie, and the public opinion around the world and in the West didn’t buy their story, but they couldn’t withdraw. So, they had to do something, even on a smaller scale,” Assad said, referring to the joint airstrikes against purported Syrian chemical weapons facilities, carried out on April 14 by the US, UK, and France.

Assad says Moscow also played a role in restraining Washington’s influence and meddling in the region, both generally since its invitation to aid Damascus in September 2015, and in this particular incident.

‘Russia deterred larger-scale attack on Syria’
“The Russians announced publicly that they are going to destroy the bases that are going to be used to launch missiles, and our information – we don’t have evidence, we only have information, and that information is credible information – that they were thinking about a comprehensive attack all over Syria, and that’s why the threat pushed the West to make it on a much smaller scale,” the Syrian president said.

With Western ‘advisers’ deployed alongside their proxy forces in Syria, Assad also thanked Russia for not triggering face-to-face confrontation with the US, which is operating in close proximity both in the air and on the ground.

“We were close to have direct conflict between the Russian forces and the American forces, and fortunately, it has been avoided, not by the wisdom of the American leadership, but by the wisdom of the Russian leadership,” Assad told Gazdiev. “We need the Russian support, but we need at the same time to avoid the American foolishness in order to be able to stabilize our country.”

‘Either you have a country or you don’t have a country’
Despite praising the diplomatic efforts of the Astana peace process, and emphasizing the government’s own drive to win the hearts and minds by restoring order in liberated areas, and initiating a process of reconciliation, Assad says there are still some victories that will have to be won on the battlefield.

“Factions like Al-Qaeda, like ISIS, like Al-Nusra, and the like-minded groups, they’re not ready for any dialogue, they don't have any political plan; they only have this dark ideological plan, which is to be like any Al-Qaeda-controlled area anywhere in this world. So, the only option to deal with those factions is force,” Assad said, emphasizing that there is no stepping back now.

“The more escalation we have, the more determined we’ll be to solve the problem, because you don’t have any other choice; either you have a country or you don’t have a country,” the Syrian president told RT.

All remaining ISIS resistance zones in Syria are in US-controlled areas – Russian MoD

    9 Jun, 2018

Islamic State still keeps its presence in Syria, but only in US-controlled areas while those liberated by Syrian government forces areas are slowly recovering after terrorists’ defeat, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

“All the remaining pockets of resistance of ISIS terrorists in Syria are only in areas controlled by the United States,” Major-General Igor Konashenkov, a defense ministry spokesman, said on Saturday.

Militants in 11 settlements side with Syrian government troops - reconciliation center.

What Will It Take To Get Rid Of ISIS?-1197120-jpg

    "
MOSCOW, June 24. /TASS/. Units of the Free Syrian Army, controlling more than ten settlements in the de-escalation zone in southern Syria, have agreed to side with the Syrian government troops in the past day, the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria said on Sunday.

Over the past 24 hours, after repelling a massive offensive of the Jabhat Al-Nusra units (terror group, outlawed in Russia) in the southern de-escalation zone, the formations of the Free Syrian Army, controlling the settlements of Khabab, Khirbat Al Msap, Jerfi, Asem, Sheikh Gharbiya, Sheikh Sharki, Al Shumariya, Hirbat az Zababir, Deir-Dama, Al Shiyakh and Jadal, voluntarily sided with the government troops. By the end of June 23 these settlements were fully under control of the legitimate Syrian authorities," the Center said.

The units of the Free Syrian Army operating there joined the government troops to carry out joint operations against terrorists of the Islamic State and Jabhat Al Nusra (terror groups, outlawed in Russia)," it said.

The Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria has launched an effort to deliver humanitarian assistance and essentials to civilians in the liberated areas in southern Syria.

Overnight to June 23, more than 1,000 militants of Jabhat Al-Nusra attacked the Syrian army’s positions near Dama and Deir-Dama. The Syrian government forces were forced to defend their positions. Five servicemen were killed and another 19 were wounded, and the terrorists targeted citizens in these settlements."

What Will It Take To Get Rid Of ISIS?-1197127-jpg

    MAGADAN, June 24. /TASS/.

"Syria’s post-war reconstruction will be carried out by the country’s own efforts, Syrian President Bashar Assad said in an interview with Itogi Nedeli (Weekly Results) program on NTV Television Channel on Sunday.

Despite that the war is underway now, we have enough means to restore the country, we are sure about that," Assad said.

[If] we have no money, we will borrow from our friends, the Syrians who live abroad, and from our treasury. We do not worry about that," Assad stressed, noting that the reconstruction may take more time than expected.

According to Assad, many European companies plan to earn money on Syria’s post-war reconstruction, which may cost at least $400 bln. "When European countries speak about assistance in Syria’s reconstruction, they think about how to earn money rather than how to help Syria," he said. "Many European companies contact with us and try to open the door to Syria for their investments".

    United society in Syria

Here is no civil war in Syria, it is a war on mercenaries and terrorists, Assad stressed. There is no civil war in Syria because a civil war stems from interreligious, ethnic and other conflicts. We don’t have any in Syria. Wherever you go, including to the regions controlled by the government, you will see all the strata of Syria society living side by side peacefully. It is the real state of things," he said.

It is not the Syrian people who shoot at each other, it is mercenaries and terrorists," he stressed.

According to the Syrian president, the conflict has only consolidated Syrian society. Diverse society has become much more consolidated than before the war. We have learnt the lesson," he said. "We have consolidated society. We have no problems with consolidation. We can say that Syria is integral as long as its people is consolidated.".

    Constitutional reform

Constitutional reform in Syria depends solely on the choice of the Syrian people, Assad said. Any constitutional reform has nothing to do with the government. It is a matter of the Syrian people. If we want any changes, a nationwide referendum is needed. If people support a new constitution in a plebiscite, we will adopt it," he said, adding that it would happen "not because the United Nations or a foreign state want it," but only when the Syrian people takes this decision.

Syria’s current constitution was adopted in February 2012 to introduce a multiparty system. Bashar Assad, who scored 88% of the vote at Syria’s first multi-party elections in June 2014, took the first presidential office under the new constitution, although it was his third consecutive term. The United States and the European Union refused to recognize those elections as legitimate and democratic.

In Surprising Turn, US Sends "Farewell Message" To Proxies In Syria's South

"There's been a significant and unexpected development in southern Syria, where the Syrian Army and allied forces are engaged in a major offensive to take back Daraa and Al-Quneitra provinces from long entrenched FSA, al-Qaeda, and ISIS groups (the ISIS branch is known as Jaish Khaled Bin al-Waleed).

Though we and others have noted that this massive final battle to solidify Assad's hold over key areas bordering Jordan and the Israeli occupied Golan Heights could trigger US-Israeli intervention, consistent with recent threats from the US State Department, it now appears Washington has changed its tune.

On Saturday a Middle East analyst named Sam Heller broke the news that Washington has told rebel groups in southern Syria the US has spent years backing that they should not expect American military intervention on their behalf.

The message was reportedly sent from the US Embassy in Amman to anti-Assad commanders currently under attack from Syrian government air and ground forces:

New message from U.S. Embassy Amman to southern rebels: Make your own decision, but “you should not base your decision on the assumption or expectation of military intervention by us.”
    "

It appears there may be other reasons for the collapse of the terrorists in SW Syria. Allegedly the ameristanis along with their vassals have washed their hands and forgotten all the promises the terrorists were given, prior to staging warfare against the Syrian people and their friends.

Allegedly sent from the ameristani embassy Amman Jordan:

What Will It Take To Get Rid Of ISIS?-dgzpbrnwsaegn9g-jpg

Looks like goodbye to, further weapons delivery, intelligence, an airforce, chemical weapons, food, money and especially helicopters from embassy roofs to a safe place.

Is there any doubt that ameristan is a false friend.
