    Liberal Double Standards

Well, now that 2014 is out of the way, let's look back at the ever-increasing liberal double standards we saw over the past year

I'll get the ball rolling with a personal favorite:

When Republicans are in power, “dissent is the highest form of patriotism.” When Democrats are in power, dissent is the racist fuming of “angry white men.”

    Over to you!

    Love this one too:

When rich so-called 'fat cats' give to the Republican Party it's a sign that the system is corrupted. But...when Lib billionaires give to the Democrats it's never mentioned, eh?

    Love this one too:

"When President Bush attacked Iraq with the Democrats' approval, based on a perceived and possibly actual national security threat, liberals savaged him as a lying warmonger. But when President Obama attacked Libya, let alone Egypt, without any discernible national security interest and without Congress's endorsement, liberals hailed his foreign policy acumen."

    The Left's Many Double Standards

    Let 'er drip!

"Though liberals do a great deal of talking about hearing other points of view, it sometimes shocks them to learn that there are other points of view" William F. Buckley, Jr.

    Not much difference these days.

Liberals, for the most part, support the Democratic Party platform of fair taxation, equal rights, and job creation. Conservatives, for the most part, support the Democratic Party platform of fair taxation, equal rights, and job creation.

I missed the invasions of Libya and Egypt with US ground troops. Can you fill me in on that.

In a nation where the vast majority have seen and are seeing their living standards drop, where graduates are flipping burgers on shit pay and no social security to speak of, where wealth inequality is at it's highest ever, where corporate profitability and the Dow are at their highest ever, I have only one question.

Whence this 'Liberalism'? I see absolutely none, just propaganda and a drugged population.

Given that health care costs have been inflating at less than in recent memory (in the US), and more people than ever are getting coverage, I'm sure I can research these 'revelations' in Drudge.

But welcome to the First World.

Drudge will also point out that doctors who accept Medicare patients are now becoming harder and harder to find. Sure there's lots of folks with coverage now but what good does that do when you can't find a doctor to take your Obamacare/Medicare policy?

Added note: Drudge will also elucidate you too to the fact that folks are putting off seeing their doctors due to the high price of the co-pay.

Come to think of it, might a US citizen explain something.
Why are legal (ie, pharmaceutical) drugs so expensive in the USA?
And why are illegal (ie, recreational) drugs so damn cheap?
You make many an Aussie jealous.

Cost of research. Once they become generic only then do they become cheaper.

What's an example of a recreational drug being 'cheap'?

This has been true for a long time already. Medicare was never liked by the docs because they have to process too much paper to get paid.

I believe the point here is it has gotten much worse, and as the govt. continues to lower there pay it will get even worse.

No black market competition for legal drugs. No high cost of research and getting FDA approval for illegal drugs.

    sorry... that's bullshit right there...

they don't mind it... they have a box they get checked for every little thing they do in an exam room. "say ahhhh" $65... "so where does it hurt?" consultation $110... write a prescription? $22.50

I lived in a little florida retirement town.. I was friends with all the doctors... they were fucking loaded!!!! and never complained about how 90% of their patients were on Medicare!!!

I call bullshit on that tired old lie....

they don't mind paperwork... their whole business is based on paperwork... you know insurance forms.... sure it may take 6 months to get paid but they still get paid very well!

This is a great message board.... For me to poop on!

Your ball is rolling the wrong way; remember when it was traitorous to ask how America was going to pay for two wars, let alone propose raising taxes to do so? Yeah, that wasn't under a Democratic POTUS.

Of course you will provide an example of govt lowering the pay of doctors any minute now for us to read for ourselves, right?

Of course I will, govt. pay for Medicaid reduced as much as 43% as temporary raises to persuade more doctors to accept Medicaid set to expire Jan. 2015.

Dunno about lib'rul double standards, but Democrat double standards are as obvious as the lines on ones palm. They represent themselves as 'lib'rul', and 'for the working man'- but they are patently not, just a party owned by big business (like the other one). You only need look at the numbers.
