No. 1 The POTUS has to "deliver" the weapons to the correct side. (Occasional mishaps occur when identifying the "correct" side and when you rely on identification using "intelligence" or visual confirmation from 6 miles up in the sky) .
No. 2 The freedom fighters in the East appear to be quite capable of "relieving" US weapons from the Ukrainian army fleeing for there lives.
No. 3 The Ukrainian army need to understand when and where to point, how to target and maintain the weapons.
No. 4 The POTUS has to ensure a constabt supply of ammunition for these "defensive weapons".
No. 5 The POTUS has a nasty habit of deserting countries and leaving useful weapons caches for anyone to pickup and use.
Should the freedom fighters be worried, so far they have accounted for themselves pretty well.
What it does mean is that Putin and whoever else wants too, has a precedent set by the POTUS, they keep coming back to bite the POTUS, to disregard the UN, disregard the UNSC, disregard international law........... and if questioned reply "The worlds only global superpower is already doing it and is convincing other countries into coalitions to themselves ignore any previous rules/agreements".
