    Putin the 'embodiment of heroism'

Supporters also rolled out a new exhibition of flattering paintings, depicting Mr Putin in various heroic guises, including the black-clad Matrix protagonist Neo, the Buddha in lotus position, Che Guevara in his black beret and Mahatma Gandhi.

The "Putin Universe" exhibition also shows him as artist Salvador Dali, space pioneer Yury Gagarin, sleuth Sherlock Holmes, French leader Charles de Gaulle, comic book superheroes Batman and Hulk - and even French saint Joan of Arc.
"Vladimir Putin's character is the embodiment of heroism, fairness, slyness, intellect, courage and charm," the exhibition organisers said in a statement.
Milos Kojic, a Serbian political expert who helped put together the display in central Moscow, told AFP: "We just want to thank him for the job he is doing for the whole planet."

If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.

I live in an actual dictatorship. I have absolutely no interest in living in either country, but if I had to make the choice I would personally choose Russia over latter day America. I prefer the smell of future promise in the air, than the stench of hypocrisy, stagnation and decline. And America being such a litigious society, I would have no interest in founding a business there.

What smell of future promise is that? In Russia. What hypocritical, stagnating country do you live in now, because most of them aren't all that different on that score. Hell, even Snowden is willing to go to prison to get out of Russia. I think your dislike for America has overtaken good sense, but you made your self righteous point. 5555

Unfortunately that's the case with a few posters on here. They are so biased against the West they have lot the ability to objectively criticise arseholes like Putin.

Me, I see cnuts. Walking around like regular people. They don't see each other. They only see what they want to see. They don't know they're cnuts.

We have a choice, but then we are fortunate.

Most people are forced to live within the system they were born. In Russia brutality is a given, but from the perspective of a Russian that saw the cold war end and global economics ravage ones future, a degree of stability under Putin must look like a pretty good place to be, at least when compared to Libya with it's lawless trafficking, Syria with it conflagration of death and the US with it's rampant crime and gun deaths... who wants people power and democratic revolution when the result is murder and mayhem.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

Vlad is Bad, that's a given, but he is not fettered by the chains of lobbyists and elitists. He can speak his mind; as he did so succinctly in his UN address posted above. There is a new world order emerging.US-NATO warmongering has reached it's high water mark, further escalation is a folly.

A lot of people make that choice, just look at the immigration numbers (not including refugees and illegals). If stooping to put the States on a platform with Libya and Syria is the best you've got, well, I'm sorry for you.
As far as rampant crime and gun deaths go, at least in a free country you can do something about it, slow as it is, without running to ask the Shirtless Wonder on a horse.

^ LOL - that is the stupidest thing I have read on here. I actually rubbed my eyes to see if I had misread, but no.

Anyway, in keeping with stupidity, I wonder if anyone has run the number plates through a computer on these ISIS trucks to see who actually did buy them? Sure, most of the Toyota the axis of evil deliver to them are fresh from the factory, but on the picture above... that truck has one. Stolen perhaps?

So why then do we support terrorists who do not alllow freedom of speech, religion, assembly etc? Who enslave and sell people in markets, and destroy our history? Having been out for a woozy weekend in Damascus, the thought of that place being overrun by vile Islamists makes me shudder. I dread to think of the horror it must cause the urban population, and to them people Iran & Russia are saviours. But wait a minute- where is the Land of the free, the Home of the brave? Bitching at Russia for bombing Al Qaeda (as well as IS), last thing I knew.

There seems to be a bit of a role reversal. While the US was once the land of the free, its rights started to dwindle and politically correct a-holes took over, the same a-holes that are fighting for pedo rights putting themselves in the same bracket as gay rights. When it was Ok to wear a flag without upsetting a minority, and before government officials wanted to ditch the cross to not upset Muslims or change words and festive times so as not to offend. When Americans where US citizens before having to take two steps back in preference to a minority in need of social assistance or credit. And before the US citizen (white) veteran was considered the new breed of terrorist. And before mainstream media doctored images to make dark skinned offenders seem whiter. Yep, America was once the land of the free.

Russia on the other hand, and being able to speak Russian helps as you get the opinion from the people you've spoken to, has only one way to go having been in the dumps for so long. Not all feel the same, just as many still feel the US hasn't changed.

As I've posted before, I lived in a cold country just to the north of America. Good lifestyle when you are earning big bucks. I chose a warmer place to live. They have good Wats as well.

Using the Internet is not free. Connection device, connection costs, electricity costs etc. Some English guy I hear. The ability to speak here is funded by the ads, if your foolish not to turn them off.

Cheap consumer goods are available worldwide, Asian consumers have even lower prices.

If you call the crap many western people eat food then enjoy. Most have chemicals added to stop consumers smelling the decayed contents of the plastic bag.

The good men that died came from many countries, most were conscripted. They died for the bankers not their god. The current pay as you go, get paid if you survive. Many troops get a very bad service from their ex-employers when they hang up their boots.

It is often said that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization was founded in response to the threat posed by the Soviet Union. This is only partially true. In fact, the Alliance’s creation was part of a broader effort to serve three purposes: deterring Soviet expansionism, forbidding the revival of nationalist militarism in Europe through a strong North American presence on the continent, and encouraging European political integration.

The majority of NATO member countries are European.
