Some of the money borrowed from China went into Iraq (according to some pundits) although many of the sources of these war funds are hard to identify.

    Nevertheless, the US borrows.

Let's see . . . Syrian rebels decided to overthrow their government (so they can install their own government). The US and other countries have supplied arms and ammunition. Now the rebels want the US to bring in some "big guns" to help out.

First, I don't think the US taxpayers want to financially support every country that has a civil war. Just look at how Libya and Egypt turned out.

Secondly, the US really can't afford to shoot cruise missiles at a million+ USD a pop.

And lastly, if rebels in the US decided to overthrow the current US government, how much force would the US government use to quell the rebels fighters? Answer: however much it took!

The US government has to stop playing "Captain America" for every third world country that has an internal conflict.

You don't agree with Rick, his party made an unexpected turn and the sheeples follow. It's not for long.
Libya doesn't have an Islamic government, and the president used to be a human-rights advocate.

It's quite a dilemma for the Thugs, aka the GOP. On the one hand, they love killing foreign non-persons who don't love America sufficiently despite it's being the True Beacon of Freedom, but on the other hand, it means supporting the Kenyan Muslin Commie Usurper. Theys heads is hurtin'.

Obama says he did not draw the red line:

We are about to go to war with a country that did us no harm in order to save the credibility of this clown — yet he has no credibility to save. This absurd presidency is historic, all right — it’s a historic farce...

Lets hope not. AIPAC and the neo-con clowns have announced they are going to mount a major PR campaign to swing the vote in favor of bombing Syria. Then again, they were the main provocateurs behind the disastrous Iraqi invasion too, and are constantly pushing for military action against Iran, which would be even dumber. They should be tried for treason imo- many of them are spies for Israel anyway.

Who pray tell are these so-called 'neo-cons' you're on about?

From all news reports, it's Biden, Pelosi, Kerry etc who are pushing the war. I'd hardly call them neo-conservative - just bat-shit crazy...

^^ True, I don't know if their reasons are libbie 'morality' or to save face for the Obama admin (which it won't). Strange alliance of right and left doing the warmongering right now. The neo-cons are pushing for more than just a punitive strike too- they want all out obliteration bombing, which will no doubt assist their pals in the MI complex, and do marvelous things to liberate the people of Syria from life itself.

You know how this goes- one punitive strike, not much effect naturally, and the usual suspects will be calling for more. Guess thats why you're still in Afghanistan- the original 'mission' was just to unseat the Taliban government, then get out. Famous last words.

BBC News - Syria crisis: Russia and US 'no closer'

The US and Russia have not bridged their differences over the issue of possible military action in Syria, Russian President Vladimir Putin says.

Mr Putin said military intervention would destabilise the Middle East and would be "counter-productive".

His comments came in a news conference on the final day of the G20 summit in St Petersburg.

US President Barack Obama had been pushing for support among leaders at the G20 for a US strike on Syria.

The US government accuses President Bashar al-Assad's forces of killing 1,429 people in a poison-gas attack in the Damascus suburbs on 21 August.

Mr Assad has blamed rebels for the attack. China and Russia, which have refused to agree to a UN Security Council resolution against Syria, insist any action without the UN would be illegal.

Mr Putin said the discussions about Syria on Thursday evening had gone on well past midnight.

He added that he had a one-to-one meeting with Mr Obama in which they had discussed Syria.

Both men had listened to the other's position but had not agreed, he said.

    Divisions persist
Also speaking at the end of the summit, Mr Obama said there was a "unanimous" view that chemical weapons had been used in Syria.
    etc..
    =============================================

I thought it was interesting how the Russians and USA phrase their words. A lot more truth within the words of Putin than those of Obama though....That statement from Obama about chemical weapons being used...uh Yes! We all know that ... But who fired them? Why was he not stating in absolute terms that they were used by Assad backed up by the proof he has?

Whilst the crusader coalition, can you have a coalition of two, plans the murder of thousands of innocent civilians and state personnel the others plan a future together.

"The BRICS nations have decided to fund their development bank with $100 billion. The reserves are aimed at financing joint development ventures, and are set to rival the dominance of the World Bank and the IMF.

“At the final stage of realization - the initiative to create a BRICS forex reserve pool – the size of its capital has been agreed at $100 billion,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said while opening the G20 Summit in St. Petersburg.

Russia, Brazil and India will contribute $18 billion to the BRICS currency reserve pool, while China $41 billion and South Africa $5 billion, according to a press release issued by the BRICS on Thursday."

Wasn't Kerry on a serious historic mission to make peace between Israel and Pali ?
Wasn't the Israeli government announcing the construction of some 1,200 new apartments for Jewish settlements in East Jerusalem and the West Bank?
And at the same time Kerry was on the way to the ME. Isn't that like saying: "Fuck off U.S. clowns" (Bozo = Kerry) you do as we say ?
Now Israel didn't want to pull the bull on his nosering through the ME without giving him something to do. Good friends don't do that
Chew on Syria for a while, so we can continue our constructions with U.S. Taxpayer money.
