My ex Father in Law worked for Carrier Transitcold in Montebello, California. In the 1980's they moved their manufacturing out of California and into Indiana and Georgia since those states were less friendly to workers rights and unions, now they're taken it a step farther.

As I recall, he was offered a job in Georgia with a large pay cut.
