Fox News Poll: Clinton ahead of Trump by two points

Hillary Clinton has a 2-point edge over Donald Trump with less than a week before the election.

That’s according to a new national Fox News Poll of likely voters conducted Tuesday-Thursday.

In the four way race, Clinton tops Trump by a 45-43 percent margin. She was up by three points a week ago (44-41 percent) and by six in mid-October (45-39 percent). Gary Johnson gets 5 percent and Jill Stein two percent. Only four percent are undecided.

Her lead is within the poll’s margin of sampling error in both the two-way and four-way races.

Trump is favored by men (+11 points), whites (+19), and whites without a college degree (+33).

Clinton leads among women (+13 points), blacks (+74), and voters under age 30 (+17). She’s also ahead by 11 points among the one-in-five who have already voted (50-39 percent).

They split the support of whites with a college degree: Trump gets 45 percent to Clinton’s 42 percent. In 2012, GOP nominee Mitt Romney won this group by 14 points (56-42 percent).

Both candidates are consolidating their bases, but Clinton outperforms Trump: she gets 90 percent among Democrats and he gets 85 percent of Republicans.

    Um, wrong.
She has ruined the Democratic Party such to the point that it will take years to recover their credibility. Corruption and misuse of Government Power has finally brought them down to their knees.
No it hasn't. Where do you retarded nutjobs get these ideas FFS?
Are you declared legally competent to vote considering your obvious level of mental retardation?

When somebody replies with an argument such as "Um, wrong"..and then continues to throw personal verbal insults at me.....without providing even one nugget of intelligent argument to the contrary....well, that just makes me less retarded than they are.

Sorry. Every News article out there demonstrates that what I said is true. The FBI has publicly stated that it will be continuing several investigations whether Hillary is Elected or not. This does bring democrats down to their.....knees.

"Um, Wrong"...just will not change anything.

Regardless of who ends up "winning" this fiasco of an election, the USA is going to have a President that is both disliked and distrusted by a sizable majority of the population. Talk about having to choose between the lesser of evils!

You guys have been arguing around in circles over these two clowns for a long time and do doubt those of you have have chosen the eventual "winner" will be crowing and gloating over their victory. For anyone looking at this from the outside it is very apparent that there is nothing to crow about. The US needs strong leadership and a leader that can inspire and bring back some respectability to the body politic.

Unfortunately they are not going to get it this time around

An overwhelming majority of voters are disgusted by the state of American politics, and many harbor doubts that either major-party nominee can unite the country after a historically ugly presidential campaign, according to the final pre-election New York Times/CBS News Poll.

In a grim preview of the discontent that may cloud at least the outset of the next president’s term, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are seen by a majority of voters as unlikely to bring the country back together after this bitter election season.

With more than eight in 10 voters saying the campaign has left them repulsed rather than excited, the rising toxicity threatens the ultimate victor. Clinton, the Democratic candidate, and Trump, the Republican nominee, are both seen as dishonest and viewed unfavorably by a majority of voters.

^^Yes, I think everyone is pretty well aware that the US is very divided and it will be difficult for anyone to bring the country together. The long term demographic trends in the US point to a gradual sea shift toward progressive political gains resulting inevitably in a Democratic majority in both houses of congress and a Democratic President.

    Wink

^^^ Sure, but ya must consider how bastions of "Progressive Liberal Think" like the NYT are in decline and not likely to survive if they don't wake up!

It’s the new economics of the newspaper business that is going to cause the New York Times to fall over. But I have a feeling that if and when that happens, it will be at least partly because they have not woken up to the dangers quite fast enough. That feeling of mine was prompted by a line in this piece.

The basics of the newspaper business are in peril as a result of the online revolution, on which you are currently reading. Traditionally, major U.S. newspapers’ revenue came in three parts: Subscriptions (newsstand sales being quite small), classified ads, and display ads. This online business has eaten the classifieds through Craigslist, Monster.com and so on. That’s a third of the revenue gone (OK, it’s not all gone yet, but it’s going), with subscription income falling as more people read online. This leaves the display ad revenue, but this too suffers as circulations fall. Perhaps online advertising can make up for it?

Not likely. At least not at the rates advertisers are currently paying for online ads.
    Forbes Welcome

A very well reasoned and true post Koman. Welcome back.

That said as a Bernie Sanders supporter I find myself everyday missing him. He was my candidate. I will however vote for Hillary because Drumpf is toxic and a clear and present danger to the stability of the US and the world. Hillary is a status quo candidate and that is not someone that a true progressive can get behind, however I have no other choice in this instance. She has gotten my vote but I can assure you I held my nose.

Systemic voter fraud using absentee ballots detected in florida, investigation is occurring.

Here is a link to the affidavit by the witness who saw florida election officials filling in absentee ballots.

Mire info here. It us maintained there was nothing illegal going on, and the witness misintepreted the scene, but no explanation why the witness's employment was suddenly terminated.

Yeah see, that's just not factually correct.

That's what it takes to be a Trump supporter: a complete disregard for objective reality in favor of the 'feels'.

And cause you are a loser. Trump will be gone in 4 years, and as a bonus shillary would be gone forever. You are voting for the system you rail against and making it even harder to dislodge.

Trump has already destroyed the rnc, let him destroy the dnc too. Be a winner for once. This is it, it's the one chance. It's not pretty, but it is the only one you will ever have.

Above the froth there will be little change on Wall Steet Main Street.

Neither candidate has any discernable solution to jobs, trade, mortgages, Health Care, overseas wars.

Both are great liars but Hilary has more experience on the International stage and the support of J P Morgan,Wells Fargo,Citibank and Goldman Sachs are the real players.

I doubt there will be any loss of sleep by insurers, arms dealers, big aggro or pharma
