Wow! Really? 8 years of Obama and what changed on the interventionism front? Not a goddamned thing. Not only are we still in Afghanistan and Iraq but we added Libya, Syria, Yemen, Ukraine, and other places I'm forgetting, into the conflict/war mix. Obama continued and inflated the Bush II clusterfucks...IMO.

There has been no noninterventionist President in my lifetime. Look where that has gotten us. We can't even keep our own nest clean. WTF gives us the standing to tell others how they should run their countries on a global basis? It's madness and above all it's hubris with a capital H.

These things are not done in our national interest, they're done in the interests of the select few who profit from the bloodstained misery our interventionism and militarism inflicts.

In fact the US prescence in both places is a tiny fraction of what it was under Bush.

Like I said, Obama is the best you can hope for. There simply is no sentiment anywhere in government for the America you wish for. It is a minority viewpoint.

Of course there are circumstances where military intervention is required. Libya was not one of them. Neither was Iraq. Afghanistan was inevitable, given the location of bin Laden, however the post war situation was left to fester as their real target was Iraq.

Bush was the icing on the cake in many respects, Obama was a continuation of bush, and shillary wants to expand on his idiocy.

Obama deliberately allowed Isis to grow in Syria, and he also ensured that Assad could not end the civil war; shillary wants to confront Russia in Syria, both her and Obama are making ludicrous claims about Putin intervening in us elections for short term political manoeuvring.

    Neither was Iraq.
    Un point.

    Idiotic at best.

    No he didn't, Putin did.

    Not bad.

Hillary Clinton's Emailgate Is an Attack on Women

Get a load of the whackjob who wrote an op-ed in Time magazine, who tries to equate clunkton's incompetent handling of classified information as a war on women.

She even takes issue with comey not being deferential enough to clunkton for her when he made his first statement about her mishandling of classified information.

She says she is mad and scared.

I guess no-one buying the 'its the russians' card, and she is going back to trying play the vagina card again.

interesting, Trump back to 45% against Hillary 49% according to the BBC average of polls

too close to call now, this election is full of surprise, don't see how he could recover so quickly, the only explanation is that more hates Hillary than Trump

Probably much like the story that Saddam and his soldiers were throwing Kuwatii babies from incubators. A story created by a public relations firm...Hill & Knowlton.

When contemplating war, beware of babies in incubators - CSMonitor.com

The Kuwait government had to find a way to "sell the war" to the American public, who were interested, but not deeply involved. So under the auspices of a group called Citizen for a Free Kuwait, which was really the Kuwait government in exile (the group received almost $12 million from the Kuwaiti government, and only $17,000 from others, according to author John R. MacArthur) the American PR firm Hill & Knowlton was hired for $10.7 million to devise a campaign to win American support for the war. Craig Fuller, the firm's president and COO, had been then-President George Bush's chief of staff when the senior Bush has served as vice president under Ronald Reagan. The move made a lot of sense – after all, access to power is everything in Washington and the Hill & Knowlton people had lots of that.
As far as Libya and Qaddafi, have you ever read The Green Book? Have you ever stopped to think that Libyan's lives are much worse now after our 'liberation'? [ Before US-NATO Invasion, Libya Had The Highest Human Development Index , The Lowest Infant Mortality, The Highest Life Expectancy In All Of Africa ]

I'm now sure that over the years we were fed a constant stream of propaganda and straight-up bullshit about both Saddam and Qaddafi...amongst others. Bullshit and propaganda most likely created by public relations 'experts' such as H&K in the incubator story.

If you rated all the Democratic and Republican candidates on defense Sanders and maybe Rand Paul would have been the least pro-defense. That's my perception. I still would have voted for him if he would have been the candidate. At this point in history we may need someone who can stand up to Putin and Hillary may be more suited for that job.
