Bernie may be the best hope the country has to regain a viable left, and that says reams about the left in America. He himself won't be President, but his ideas may pull Hillary to the left, especially if he can coax out enough people to make a political difference. I wonder where Sen. Jennifer Warren has come down on his announcement. Speaking for myself, I'm going to send him some money.

Quite a disappointment that Sen. Warren isn't running . . . I'd find her to be preferable to Hillary, who is even further right than Obama.

Bernie Sanders, in reality, functions as the lib'rul teabagger- his real role is to pull the Dem's to the Left on it's policies, issue's and camapaigning points, much as the Tea parties real role is to pull the GOP to the right. Neither has a credible chance at the Presidency, but their political party influence is tangible.

I hope the lib'rul Left of the Dem's does find it's voice, given the spiralling wealth inequality there, and a besieged middle class. It is also a shame that the left wing of the Democrat party are the only ones apparently willing to speak out against the increasing degradation and marginalisation of the once ascendant middle class in America. Wasn't it meant to be whole raison d'etre of the Democrat party to represent the interests and concerns of the American middle class, aka the 'average American'? Apparently not any more.
