No offense to these young fellows, but they didn't seem hard enough. I've never been in the military, and I can't say I know what it's like. But they seem a little soft.
No offense.
Some of the group were lined up while weapons were cocked, making them fear they would be executed.
At a news conference at the Royal Marines Barracks in Chivenor, Devon, Royal Marine Captain Chris Air, 25, and a colleague, Lieutenant Felix Carman, 26, from Swansea, read a statement.
Some of the group was lined up against a wall. Lt Carman recalled: "We were bound, hands behind our backs, blindfolds on, and then shoved up against a wall. I could see people's feet under my blindfold.
"One of the lads heard weapons being cocked. He freaked out and dropped to the floor. He was screaming: 'Lads they are going to execute us.' Somehow I undid my hands from behind my back, pulled my blindfold off. There were guys with weapons there but it didn't look like a firing squad. They were just playing with their weapons."
He added: "That was the worst moment. There was a lot of trickery and mind games being played."

No offence taken. Notice the prominent Union Jack behind them, the symmetric juxtaposition of Naval and Marine uniforms (which would not happen in real life).
Does anyone smell the sickening stench of PR Bullshit and easy money?![]()
I don't know how they were treated, but seeing a BBC interview with the baby (second to the left) and hearing him say:
"It was terrible, we were not even allowed to talk to each other", makes me believe that some English soldiers are not of the right material.
He prolly got his daily 5 o'clock tea since he didn't complain about it being refused.
I enjoyed it MD. Lets just say it's thought provoking.
They look terrified. No wonder, look at the size of his dick!
Naval captives can sell stories
The crew returned to the UK on Thursday after 13 days in captivity
The 15 Royal Navy personnel held captive by Iran are to be allowed to sell their stories to the media.

As the topic of the thread states - it's going to be and is, embarrasiing. Looking at the British government itself, pride seems to be sorely lacking. The most outrage I've seen so far is from a government official named Particia Hewitt, the British Health secretary who called the spectacle "deplorable." Too bad she was referring to something else: "that the woman hostage should be shown smoking". "This sends completely the wrong message to our young people"
Imagine the outrage if those captured marines had been fed trans fat!![]()
A Deplorable Bitter Clinger
From sabangs link:
But Col Bob Stewart, who commanded the British peacekeeping forces in Bosnia, told the BBC he was appalled the crew were being allowed to sell their stories.
"We're glorifying something that we would hope would be fish and chip paper next week," he said. "Hype it up and you'll have real danger here, because some of the stories given out by the hostages, even at the press conference, seemed not to confirm what each one of them said."
But then more of the new "escalation" :
The move came as members of the released crew continued to pay tribute to the four British soldiers killed in Iraq on the day they flew back to the UK.
It was shape charge devise straight from an Iranian "faction" I tell's ya. They can strike us within 40 minutes...
They champion falsehood, support the butcher against the victim, the oppressor against the innocent child. May God mete them the punishment they deserve
According to the BBC, the “frightened fifteen” are to be allowed to sell their stories to the media and keep the money."He claimed the marines were planning to sell on eBay the vases given to them in their “goody bags” by the Iranians."
Unfoking believable..."One of the hostages, Dean Harris, 30, an acting sergeant in the Royal Marines, told a Sunday Times reporter yesterday: “I want £70,000. That is based on what the others have told me they have been offered. I know Faye has been offered a heck more than that. I am worth it because I was one of only two who didn’t crack.”The greed is obvious...![]()

^The British should have upon the return of these "hostages" lined them up and shot them for treason and humiliating the "empire".![]()
Reading the recorded remarks of the released sailors & marines, Britian seems to be on its last days as a nation:![]()
"Some of the Iranian sailors were becoming deliberately aggressive and unstable."
Imagine—military personnel being aggressive! None of that in H.M. armed forces!
"The questions were aggressive and the handling rough, but it was no worse than that."
I guess that is what they were so effusively thanking Ahmadinejad for.
"We all, at one time or another, made a conscious decision to make a controlled release of non-operational information."
Some of us further decided to make appearances on Iranian TV, insulting our country and praising the Tehran dictatorship.
"She [the female sailor] is coming to terms with what has happened to her - and not only Faye and her family, but all of us are finding the press focus very uncomfortable, difficult - and we specifically request you give all of us the space and privacy we need, when we return to our homes."
The U.K. armed forces, you see, are not a military establishment at all—more like a 12-step program for self-discovery.
"The pressures that we were subjected to were quite diverse in the way it [sic] was carried out. It was mainly psychological and emotional."
They yelled at us and lied to us. Can you blame us for groveling to them?
"On arrival at London Heathrow, we were given the news that four UK servicemen and a civilian interpreter had been killed in Iraq. We would like to pass on our thoughts and condolences to the families of those who died serving their country."
Pretty heavy shit...![]()

Noticed how the pressure is being ratcheted up on DRNK now it is a nuclear power??? I wonder what motivates nations that fall foul of the self declared world police to seek nuclear deterents....![]()

^^ as long as the Islamic fanatics control Iran no diplomacy will be forth coming.
All they want to do is establish Islam as the primary force in the world.
Annihilation of Israel is on top of their agenda.
Stroller you being a closet nazi surely comprehends the implications.
The Iranian fanatics know very well all it will take is just one nuclear bomb to wipe out Israel.
Seems like you are willing to wait and allow that to happen.![]()
