You have used the education system, powered your house and cars using the system, drove your car on the government provided roads and used a government supplied hospital.

You're both making good points actually but the truth is in the middle of all that. We (all of us) have been let down by a system of gatekeepers (political parties) that threw us overboard 30 years ago (or more) in favour of Wall Street calling the shots. And the first shot was fired in the deregulation of banks in the U.S. The UK followed (Big Bang) and the world has gone to total shit since then. The dismembering of trade unions gutted the lower-middle classes and the corporations that took over the governments then forced globalisation on us, while the banks created phony credit opportunities for us all to go and buy the same cheaper products we used to make - but now made overseas. So now everyone's out of work, they can't buy the chinese clothes, fridges or washing machines anyway now, and the fake money-credit game by the banks continues.

I've paid for everything I got and I still pay for it as well as the salaries of every government employee, and I expect my employees to do what I pay them to do otherwise I'll find any way I can to get rid of them, the bunch of crooks.

The government has given me nothing that's not rightfully mine, and they still owe me, heaps, for all the times they failed to deliver.

Every time I voted I signed a contract with MPs that they'd deliver, but they didn't come up with the goods, most of the time. What I did get from them was chicken feed compared to what I worked for.

Get real, big brother's ripping you off all the way to the bank, and the politicians and their cronies are laughing.

If I was a yank I'd distance myself from that system as much as possible. Corrupt as fuck. The 'system' takes more from the man than it gives, which is why nearly every single yank is a debt slave. The Australian govt. is not much better, and all this nanny state nonsense shits me to tears.

I'd happily cede with Australia on peaceful terms and we could co-exist. But the only way to break away from the state is a military show down, whether we like it or not. I never asked to be part of a nanny state but was born into it, and accept it because things could be much worse. That doesn't mean I can't complain about the fuckers from time to time.
