Have replied to a few threads but havn`t introduced myself,didn`t mean to be rude.
Live in Middlesex UK. first visited Thailand 205,was told once been to T/land will never want to go anywhere else,a bit strong that but have been back every year scince and am seriously considering an extended stay at some point , so that statement not to far from the truth,guess i`m preaching to the converted there.
Know enough to know i know next to nothing,hope i don`t annoy to many people by picking their brains (shy bairns get nowt).

Am planning to visit Laung Prabang ,fly from Bangkok, travel to Vietiane via Vang Vien . back across border at Nong Khai.Planning to meet Thai Lady in LP. What problems might lady encounter at border,she`s traveling from Udon Thani,what problems may we encounter at Nong Khai crossing,What reception might we expect while traveling. Am going whatever the situation so any help thanks in advance.

Welcome, can't really answer your questions but I've never heard of Thai's having visa hassles in Laos.

She will need to go into Nong Khai to get a travel pass to go into laos, takes about 10 minutes to process.

If she has a Thai passport, she won't need anything in advance and can go straight to the border. As for the reception, if you stick to Vientiane, Vang Vieng, and Luang Prabang, no problems. Outside of those places you'll get quite a few stares, but still no problems. They'll know she's Thai by the way she dresses. Welcome to the forum.
