Welcome. Do you have a nickname so I don't have to type your whole dam name? Please tell us about where you live, etc. We have really nice people here except for the dog eater.

haha... friends call me spike .

    who's the dog eater ?

Chinese believe eating dog meat keeps you warm but I havent tried it yet ...

I am originally from Malaysia . Been working in the capital for 10+ years . We've multi cultural with malays being the majority 60%, chinese about 20% , Indians 7% and the rest are minorities ... but almost everyone speaks English here in the city ...

Shopping haven but not as good as thailand sadly , other than that ... its food galore ...

If anyone is in town and need a helping hand .. just give a buzz

Would you share some chicken in soya sauce with us? That was the last I had in Ipoha couple of months ago - and it was the most delicious soya chicken I ever had in the last few years!

^ Yes they have one of the best Kwangtung kittchen in Ipoh, quite different from Hokkien style.
As to myself I am stationed in Southern Thailand (Songkhla, Pattani and sometimes in Narathiwat) but often in MAL as well.
Thais do call white foreigners "Farang" and the Malays call me jokingly Matsalleh, thus my nickname. I am an absolute lover of Nasi Kampong and of course Kwangtung specialities from abalone to snake broth in Winter time.

Give me a PM once you're in Songkhla and we can have some nice bite.
