I have been a member of many forums, Thaivisa, Bangkok Post, Nation and a few others, some of my friends have suggested Teakdoor, so here I am
Brief details, I have been here since 2004 but return to the UK for a couple of months each year. I am on a retirement visa, aged 77 years old and live in a small community near Bang Bua Thong (Nonthaburi).
I have been an electronic engineer, soldier, bum, medical researcher, market trader, electrical contractor and ended up as a physics teacher.

Well I did a Powerpoint of my house, road and area during the floods, we had 60 cms for a month or so. When I get a better feel for this forum I will see if I can post a powerpoint or whether it needs to be individual images.
I actually have two adjacent single storey houses with a gap between them, in other words two semi-detached houses. Both were in shit state so at 300KBaht each much cheaper than a normal house. Each cost around 150KBaht to fully renovate, modernise and extend. Judging by recent sales in the village they are now worth about 500 to 600KBaht each so I'm not complaining Particularly as the GBP was worth 70+ Baht at the time.

Although in Nonthaburi district I am a long way from the town, about as far as one can get, my amphur is Sai Noi. Just to confuse people my tambon is also Sai Noi.
