School pedal and half hour cardio before getting on the bench
Saturday, up early doors - gundog training; back, lunch, two hour hilly run at a soild pace, no fannying around
Back, chnage, one hour dog walk, home, cook dinner, read, watched tv, drank some beer
Sunday, up ealry doors, three-hour dog walk, back, lunch, one hour on the bike, steady, cook dinner, read, watch tv, drank some beer...
Rinse and repeat...
I've been doing 30 minutes on the cross trainer practically every day for three weeks now... I think I've missed just two days. I get around 12km done, and that is gradually increasing.
It's been up to 40 degrees in Korat lately, and even with the fans on that 30 minutes is hard work.
Followed by various weights for around 15 minutes...
I tend to jump in the pool straight afterwards to cool down, but yesterday it was so hot I was close to collapse and I didn't want to risk a heart attack. I'm not sure the wife would pull me out to be honest.
I've now lost around 4 to 5 kg which is nice and gradual and this is sustainable. I've got out of the habit of swimming lengths, but will start that up again in conjunction with the cross trainer.
I certainly feel a lot better and more energetic, my diet has improved, although my problem is still that early evening Leo and Ya Dong... I feel that after serving another day in Korat I deserve some kind of reward.
If I am to be stuck in Korat with no work for the year it would be great for something good to come out of it, so not only will I have the best pond in the whole of Isaan but I will hopefully be 20kg lighter!
^ Well done mate. You must feel great shredding all that excess baggage.
Ya dong and soda water has virtually no carbs and few calories. You will get drunk a lot quicker without all that fat for it to pass through too.
Keep it up. Doing good.
Did me left calf muscle after only 2km down by the river.
Upper body gym work and warm oil massages for the next 2-3 days it is then.
How are you exercising in the worst air in the world?
Good work chaps!
Had big plans for a 5 hour ride today, however..
An hour on the bike this morning cycling against an horendous head wind, gave up and returned to base...knackered.
^ Thats my knees pedalling, pushing the t-shirt up...Honest guv.
Talked myself into getting on..and getting off after 15 minutes
10k at an average level 10 in 15 mins aint bad
Weights and a brisk 15 min pedal today at level 13 in the heat of the day
0.1 away from a soggy dark choc hob nob
And putting the phone down and weighing in...
Nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom
Still acclimatising to Thai weather and way of life. That 15000 daily average has dropped to around 3000 the last couple of days. 14 days in isolation with no exercise machine doesn't help. I guess I'll have to help pick the cucumbers tomorrow.
ahh... Dill, deja vu
84.7kgs in my grundies this morning.
I'm gonna try and join the 70 plus kg club
With just healthy eating, one cheat day, weight training and a daily 15 minute 10km sprint.
What I have notice are the two lipomas I have are nearly gone. They are basically fat on top of fat
Managed some home gym time today, somehow it's not the same as the real gym being motivated by grunts and curses from all around.
Gonna blast the bike tomorrow, expecting to do a 5 hr 60k ride up the hills and down the Dales. .
Dill goes from famine-feast and back again. Are you using the Ricky Hatton Fitness Guide, matey? Anyway, congrats on losing the weight / gut. Until next weekend at least.
Ze gym is closed for two weeks at least, and I don't have any weights, heavy bag (other than the missus) or other equipment at home. I have a pull up frame only, so maybe a good time to try for the elite "20 Pull up Club" challenge..
Good stuff Dill.
up that daily cardio and get rid of that blubber. Next stop 80kg while trim and toned?
Have put on a KG with me sore hoof, unable to run and drinking beer everynight.
Miss Teetotaler is arriving today for the weekend, so I'll be in the strange position of actually being fitter and healthier on a Monday morning.
