Have you thought of preserving it and giving it to the youngest for Christmas (you could stick a handful of burnt chips underneath if you get any awkward questions about the absence of legs)?

Yes indeedy. They do not come with any cheese OOTB. The PAG-meister says the correct terminology is a thatched cottage pie.
I can eat a whole one (if I don't add cheese) but I cannot get off the couch afterwards, so I saved my modesty and only ate half tonight.
