Archerfish



I kept one of these in an outside fish pool. He was great fun to watch. I could put an insect near the pool to see the fish spit.

One day my dog came in the house all excited and wanted me to go outside. There next to the pool lay the archerfish, still alive on the ground. My dog was hopping around barking at it. I never figured out if the fish did a suicide jump and the dog notified me or the dog nabbed him and wanted to brag about his catch. The fish was put back in the pool and he lived on a couple of years.
