Father, son survive car-crushing collapse

Amazing footage has emerged of a camper van clipping a bank's roof and causing it to collapse.

The footage, captured on security camera, shows a white ute hauling the van into frame at 3.01pm on July 2, according to the video's timestamp.

But the van is too tall and clips the roof of the Texas State Bank in the town of Center, triggering an immediate collapse.

Neither the driver of the vehicle or his 10-year-old son was hurt when the canopy came crashing down, local newspapers reported.

The footage has become a sensation on the internet, where it has passed around under the title "Camera21".

Police confirmed no-one was injured in the collapse.

The bank has refused to comment.
