I thought they were amusing.

Got me thinking about an article by a shrink I read a long time ago re what people find funny. Basically, from what I can remember, the article said that people laugh at other people when they feel superior. Eg; someone does something stupid and people laugh at them.
However laughing with malice is a whole different thing. More along the lines of revenge or perhaps a psych problem for someone lacking normal standards of empathy.

Those TV shows like "Funniest Home Videos" are a good example of people laughing at other people doing stupid things. It only goes over the line when we take pleasure at someone actually getting hurt.
It doesnt have to be a physical act either. Most verbal jokes are about someone being so stupid that they do or say something silly.
