Newcastle United are today's visitors at Molineux where one of the end stands are being redeveloped

Wolves players appeal for a penalty in the first half after Steven Taylor had fouled Jamie O'Hara but an adamant Mark Halsey shows them the incident actually took place, outside the area. Replays showed he was wrong and that Wolves should have had a penalty

Jonas Gutiérrez scores Newcastle's second in their 2-1 victory

Nicklas Bendtner pulls a goal back for Sunderland after two early goals by James Morrison and Shane Long gave West Brom the advantage. Two minutes later an Ahmed Elmohamady header put the Black Cats level and that's how it stayed

Russell Brand refused entry to Canada

Comedian Russell Brand has been forced to postpone a show in Canada after customs officials refused him entry to the country.

The star had been expected to perform in front of 5,000 people at the Casino Rama in Ontario.

Brand confirmed the news on his website, apologising to fans.

In May Brand was deported from Japan. At the time his wife Katy Perry tweeted: "It was for priors from over 10 years ago."

Casino Rama said the show had been "postponed due to a travel issue being experienced by the artist".

    Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal

It's been a while since Emmanuel Adebayor and Arsenal fans saw eye to eye - the Togolese's manic celebration at Eastlands for Manchester City against Arsenal two seasons ago severed the bond between them so irreparably that even his transfer to Spurs this summer hardly intensified the Gunners' contempt for their former striker. Greeted with inevitable jeers from the visiting fans before the match, Adebayor responds with a smile

With temperatures knocking 28C and the sun so bright the spectators can hardly see the ball, the two sides engage in a frantic first half

Scott Parker has played in many London derbies for West Ham, Chelsea and Charlton, but this is his first appearance in the most hotly contest match in the capital. The 30-year-old misses a good chance to score in the sixth minute

There's been much talk about Arsenal's dicky defence this season, but they've at least managed to repel this free-kick

Five minutes before half time, a long crossfield ball from Adebayor exposes the Arsenal defence and Rafael van der Vaart controls the delivery on the edge of the box ... but the Dutchman appears to use a combination of chest and upper arm to do so, as this picture attests

The ball drops and sits up nicely for a half-volley which Van der Vaart lashes across the face of the goal and into the far corner

    Before going absolutely berserk

Arsenal equalise in the 51st minute when Aaron Ramsey stabs home Alex Song's cross

In the 73rd minute, Walker collects a loose ball 40 yards out, drives at goal and unleashes an unexpected shot - a shot which swoops and swerves towards the goal like a deflating balloon - and beats Szczesny at his far post

That was a belter of a strike - his first for the club, and it secures a 2-1 victory for Spurs

Metrolink passengers ride the new "quiet car" from Anaheim to Los Angeles on its first day of implementation Monday, Oct. 3. The quiet car is exactly what it sounds like: a no cell phone, no music, no talking zone on Metrolink trains.

One of two downed trees lies across the popular Trail of 100 Giants at Sequoia National Forest, Calif., temporarily closing the trail. The Forest Service said the downed trees were reported Friday and no one was injured. Officials are still working to determine the ages of the trees and why they fell. Some of the giant trees in that area are 245 feet tall and have diameters of 18 feet.

Supporters of Amanda Knox watch a television news broadcast about her appeal as they sit in a hotel suite in downtown Seattle Monday, Oct. 3, 2011. With Italy nine hours ahead of Seattle, about a dozen friends and supporters of Knox began gathering Sunday night at a downtown hotel to watch a live feed of the courtroom and await the verdict.

Amanda Knox (C) breaks down in tears as she is taken away after hearing the verdict that overturns her conviction and acquits her of murdering her British roommate Meredith Kercher, at the Perugia court, Italy, Oct. 3. A court overturned the 2009 murder conviction of US student Amanda Knox on Monday in Perugia, Italy, for the slaying of Briton Meredith Kercher. The court also overturned the conviction of her former boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito. The duo were expected to be freed immediately.

Supporters of Amanda Knox react as they watch a television news broadcast about her appeal verdict from a hotel suite in downtown Seattle Monday, Oct. 3, 2011. An Italian appeals court has thrown out Knox's murder conviction and ordered the young American free after nearly four years in prison for the death of her British roommate
