machangezi nice pics. No. 1 is now my favourite so far.
Thanks, Chong Boy.
I think there may be some deadline photos yet to come.
I got to admit I thought i would stand a chance of winning one of the prizes, I'm pretty good at this taking pictures lark, even thought about how to turn down the prize as it would be considered unfair me taking a prize, don't think I need to now half of these pictures wouldn't be out of place on international magazines.

So M'lord, as my client has quite clearly explained, he was in fact cleaning his dog's bottom, and not, as the prosecution would have you believe, engaging in acts of gross bestiality.Originally Posted by Scooter

lets not be hasty, there are a number of similar ones on the net.
seems like a popular spot for photographers.
Just asking if he took some of those other ones aswell.
What spot is it?seems like a popular spot for photographers.
This picture is from Guilin in China.
The mountains in the back look very familiar. I'm sure I've them somewhere before.
Yang Shou. Guilin. Lovely place.
^Guilin....beautiful. Definitely want to go there before I die.

You never answered my question, and I am a stickler for rules.
I was going to do some Vietnam threads, I have returned with over 3500 photos, 6 of which aren't bad in a blurred out of focus kinda way. Must my 3 shots be not included in those threads?
In terms of photoshopping, is turning a pic black and white acceptable? sharpening?...outright popping (copyright Bustak), what are the limits?

Post them in the competition first and in your thread laterOriginally Posted by Bobcock
I think we have to keep the option open that we may want to see the raw file, as for photoshopping I really don't have any idea of what you can do with it, so I'm not in a posisition on making rules on that.

I would suggest something along the lines of adjusting contrast, brightness, hue, white balance, gamma, greyscale etc is acceptable.
The majority of cameras don't keep a RAW file it goes straight to jpegOriginally Posted by dirtydog
^ Would suggest being able to do anything you want in Photoshop as it's an important part of photography nowadays. I bet there are no photos published in glossy magazines that haven't been PS'd, some heavily.
It's the finished product that is the most important thing.
Especially for Bustak's photos.Originally Posted by dirtydog
I always keep RAW files, except if in sport mode when I need the speed.
most adjustments I would make would be in Lightroom anyway to the RAW before saving as a JPG.

Is putting them in the competition prior to putting them in threads acceptable? or should I leave them out of the threads? (I haven't even seen the pics yet so I have no idea what I am submitting)
oooohh...downright mean!!Originally Posted by Marmite the Dog
Yep thats acceptableOriginally Posted by Bobcock
That is the kind of stuff any photographer is gongto do film or digitalbefore publishing anyway you over do it it looks shit and wouldn't be beneficial to your chances.Originally Posted by Bobcock
Chopping GWB's head on to the ass of an ass probably wouldn't pass muster though
