Lord Janner dead..

Lord Janner dead..
No trial then.
Well bugger me that's handy, maybe the family did the evil old bastard in?
Hopefully his victims will be told where he is to be buried so that they can apply a liberal splashing of urine from time to time.
Lord Janner has died and escaped court on historic paedophile charges. One more miracle and the Catholic Church will make him a saint.
Stevie Wright, the lead singer from the OZ band the Easybeats has died, he was 68.
some one will put up a link to it i suppose.
Meadowlark Lemon, Harlem Globetrotters star dead at 83. They were fun for kids to watch. I saw them when I was about 12.

The katoey from Hell !
Perhaps the last living embodiment of the rock 'n roll lifestyle just gave up the ghost:
RIP Lemmy.
Lemmy RIP - Louder Than War | Louder Than WarWe are sorry to report that the great Lemmy has died at the age of 70. Perhaps the living embodiment of rock n roll and one of the greatest bass players ever, Lemmy was deeply loved in our parish for his iconic presence, his bass growl, his killer songs, his image and his deeply intelligent and yet no bullshit personnae.
His whole life reads like a history of rock n roll from roading with Jimi Hendrix, to playing in the Rocking Vicars in my hometown of Blackpool in the sixties, being the main engine in Space Ritual Hawkwind and singing ‘Silver Machine’ and of course for Motorhead – one of the greatest rock n roll bands of all time.
I’ve interviewed him several times and he was funny, unapologetic and full of on the road work wisdom and was one of the last few people in rock n roll who was 100 per cent himself. Fashions came and went and there was Lemmy being himself in the middle of the whirlwind. He was gruff and bluff but had a heart of gold and made a fantastic racket that touched anyone who had a rock n roll heart.
Rock n roll and the world will be a far, far emptier place without Lemmy.
See you on the other side…
nobody in rock and roll had finer facial warts than lemmy.
No idea if his music was up to much, but I do know as a person he was rude, aggressive and quite unpleasant.
If you had facial warts you probably would be too.
God is dead.
Motordead. :-(
Seventy, eh? I suppose the eighties was a long time ago. RIP.
Only thing he ever did that was any good was humnping Hendrix's amps on stage
the only people who will be bothered by his death are the dwindling numbers of other self destructive "rockstars" whose image far outweighs their talent.the difference is that people will give a shit that Lemmy died.
as a musician, he really was nothing special, yes he was an icon of sorts, a living embodiment of spinal tap, but nothing more.
^Most of the really "talented" musicians died around 27 yo, as I recall.?
Seen Motorhead play a few times, and they were fucking brilliant. This is going back to their peak period in the late 70's to 80's though, as Neverna comments.
Christ. The nihilistic pleasures of youth now seem such a loooong time ago, rubbing arthritic shoulders with the miserable whingeing old bastards on here.

My recollection is that they were VERY LOUD. I enjoyed the concert though (80/81?).

i also saw them, although only once or twice. they were a useful opening act, they could get a crowd warmed up in preparation for a real band like the who, but their music was simple stuff, no depth or subtlety. a bit like status quo really.
los angeles numptys and spotty wank addicted kids loved their imagery and swagger and their churning neanderthal riffs appealed to the swirling hormones of teenage rebellion and angst.
hawkwind were a much better band.
his voice could reach the highs that other voices couldn't reach.
