Wikimedia published the photos.
The photographer claimed copyright.
Wikimedia rejected his claim since he did not take the photos, the monkey did!

That's no fecking monkey...It's from an animated film, innit?...
Gotta disagree with that. Unless the monkey saved and downloaded the files onto a computer himself and then uploaded them to the internet. The copyright would reside in recognition of the "artistic merit" of the images, rather than who took the photo in this particular case.
In this candid capture we see reddit user LizaThornberry admiring a breathtaking view of Machu Picchu when a llama suddenly appeared and decided to join her.
The Umbrella Sky Project (featured previously) is back in Águeda, Portugal. The art installation is created by Sextafeira Produções, who line select streets with colourful umbrellas. The tradition began three years ago as part of the local Agitagueda Art Festival that happens in Águeda each July.
During Monday night’s Cincinnati Reds / Chicago Cubs game on 7 July 2014, a storm passed through that left the skies crimson red. The rain delayed play for about 20 minutes but left a treat for those in attendance. And how fitting for a Reds game!
In this fantastic image colorized by Dana Keller, we see the Luna Park Promenade at Coney Island, New York, taken some time between 1903 and 1910.
Coney Island is a peninsular residential neighborhood, beach and attraction destination on the Atlantic Ocean in southwestern Brooklyn, New York City. The site was formerly an outer barrier island, but became partially connected to the mainland by landfill.
Coney Island is well known as the site of amusement parks and a seaside resort. The attractions reached a historical peak during the first half of the 20th century, declining in popularity after World War II and years of neglect. In recent years, the area has seen the opening of MCU Park stadium and has become home to the Brooklyn Cyclones minor league baseball team, as well as the opening of a new amusement park among several adjacent ones.
You can see the original black and white version below.
In this fantastic GoPro capture by Cristian Perrella, we see the crystal clear Lago del Matese in Caserta in the south of Italy. What a beautiful landscape to canoe through! The image was selected as GoPro’s photo of the day earlier this year.
In this beautiful underwater capture by Kurt Arrigo (featured previously), we see a horse going for a swim in the ocean. I love that he caught this from below, it adds an extra element to an already ethereal scene. To see more photography by Kurt check him out on Facebook and 500px.
A friendly between Manchester United and Real Madrid this past Saturday set the US attendance record for a soccer match with an official tally of 109,318 fans. The record-breaking match took place at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan, commonly known as ‘The Big House’. The crowd broke the previous record of 101,799 which was set at the Rose Bowl for the 1984 Olympic final.
Although the match was just a showcase and statistically irrelevant, Man U would go on to win by a score of 3-1.
Seen here is a snow light at the summit of Mount Washington covered in a wavy pattern of rime ice. The photo was taken at sunrise and shows the incredible patterns the icy winds are capable of creating.
Seen here are the beautiful tide pools at Puerto Peñasco, Mexico, also known as Rocky Point. The sunset capture by Dune Newhouse shows Gavin Beschen and his daughter exploring the area at this fast-growing, northern Mexico beach town.
Puerto Peñasco has two distinctive beaches separated by Whale Hill. Located to the south east of Whale Hill (which starts with Playa Mirador, the oldest developed beach in Rocky Point), are the great tide pools where a wide variety of sea life can be found when the tide is low in the shore reefs

And a frog's eye :
Does anyone know how the camel's eye works without a regular iris ?
It seems that the patterning over the frog's iris is for camouflage...

Angkor Wat was first a Hindu, then subsequently a Buddhist, temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world. The temple was built by the Khmer King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century in Yaśodharapura, the capital of the Khmer Empire, as his state temple and eventual mausoleum. Breaking from the Shaiva tradition of previous kings, Angkor Wat was instead dedicated to Vishnu. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious center since its foundation. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag, and it is the country’s prime attraction for visitors. The outer wall, 1024 m by 802 m (1120 x 877 yards) and 4.5 m high, is surrounded by a 30 m apron of open ground and a moat 190 m (207 yards) wide. The outer wall encloses a space of 820,000 square metres (203 acres).
Embrace was a 72 ft wooden, cathedral-like sculpture of two human figures, “in celebration of all our relationships”. The site-specific artwork was created by the Pier Group for Burning Man 2014.
It was the largest project to date for the Pier Group, which gained acclaim for its previous Burning Man installations The Pier, Pier 2, and the Ichthyosaur Puppet Project. Crews began construction on Embrace in October 2013 at the Generator community art space in Reno, and in studios in Vancouver and Portland.
During this year’s festival the massive wooden sculpture was set aflame and Trey Ratcliff was on hand to capture the incredible moment. Below you can see what the interactive sculpture looked like before it was burned. You can also see a video tour of the interior here. This stunning image, a composite of eight photographs, shows the moon rising over Chiang Mai during last week's lunar eclipse.
The photos were taken over one-and-a-half hours last Wednesday by CityNews reader and keen photographer Alan Puzey, from a room at the Royal Lanna Hotel.
"Atmospherics cause the moon to be almost red at full eclipse, and this slowly changes to a normal black and white moon as it rises," Alan said. "Here in Chiang Mai, the full eclipse happened just before moonrise, hence it was seen here as in my photos - slowly changing colour and the eclipse waning."
Last week's lunar eclipse - during which the Earth passed between the sun and the moon - created a "blood moon" in which it took on a red hue, with the moon reflecting sunlight in the earth's atmosphere.
