I think this might be my first moan in this thread.
Anyway because I live in the sticks there is no rubbish collection and no rubbish tip to take crap to so to dispose of my/our rubbish I dig a big hole and burn whatever I can. What doesn't burn gets buried when the hole gets to full to burn anymore.
So 11 days ago my MIL passed away so for 7 days after that we had the funeral gathering here and there were lots of people and as a result lots of rubbish. So the hole about 3m x 3m x2m deep gets filled with all sorts of crap and there's no room left.
So now the moan, the bloody rain has rarely stopped and when it does its not for long. So I thought I just have to try and burn what I can. So I buy 20L of diesel and gather some hay/straw to get it burning.
When I have a good look the bloody hole is half full of water so I get the pump out and pump out the water, or so I thought within an hour the bloody water level is back where I started from so it appears the water table is now only a meter below the surface and we are on the high ground. So yesterday there was some sunshine and overnight only a little bit of rain so today I got to burning. I still can't believe it burning on one side and pumping water from the corner when the water rises at the same time. At the end of the day I have managed to get most of the crap that's above water burned so as long as there are no more funerals and the rain stops I should be OK.

Sounds like you doubled it up with dengue fever. Did your eyes feel like they had red hot pokers trying to push them out from the inside?

I hope you feel better Troy and Edmond!

My brother and niece both have it and thank god I didn't get it as I was around my brother the night he started symptoms. I got my bivalent booster last night and feel quite sick today because of it.. body aches, and headache. Should pass by tomorrow.
Very busy crazy day again..came home fell asleep.

REM, saw them twice. First time 1989 an ex wanted to go and i thought they were shit. 2nd time i got free tickets and mates wanted to go, 90 something, still thought they were waffly shite. Sky had a 2005 concern on tonight and that whiny kvnt stipe still reminds me why i hated them. Its the same song over and over with his depressing dirge.

Already added the tip on the Food Panda app and it changes from:

Your driver has picked up your food.

    To:

Your driver has picked up your food and is making another delivery in your area. Your order will arrive as soon as possible*.

Change 'as soon as possible' to 'much later and stone cold, because the rider picked up some other koont's food too and is delivering it to them first'.

    Makes me absolutely Livid.

    She wasn't too bad either.

    The dry stone walling, hmmmm

My mate, been my mate for 40 years, now really only one of two. The fuker is a late starter.

In to his 50's he's decided to try respectability which includes two kiddies and lovely they are, one of each. Now mine are cut loose and grown up. His are still ankle biters, for 2 hours today i had Helen his 2 year old on my shoulders encouraging me like a horse to work fast on the stone work.

i'm too old for this shit and i hope he knows what's coming

Yeah, there's a lot of benefits to having an older father.
    Life experience and financial security.
A lot of generalisations but on the whole spot on.
People are living longer and fitter than past generations.
