Well... after a few hours of wearing Canesten I'm still rubbing away.

Looks like tomorrow I'll go searching for LD's Lamasil and VocalNeil's Funginox.

I'll powder up tonight... no Prickly Heat but we do have some of this Protox stuff which is pretty much the same I think.

I'm gonna give Ootai's recommendation a miss cos I can't see meself getting my Songkran blow job with fish gel slapped around me nether regions.

I have another moan today, made all the worse because this has happened while I still have an itchy crotch.

I applied for a new UK passport at Trendy over five weeks ago... and I get an email from the UK today saying that the application has been knocked back because they don't believe my photos were taken within a month. I now have to get new photos, one countersigned by my Welsh mate, couriered off to the UK for the application to proceed.

Last time I applied for a new passport I had it in my hand after 3 weeks...

Last night I slipped and did some dance moves in the wet and broke the only pair of flip-flops I brought with me.

Had to go buy another pair today out in the boonies and it proved rather difficult to find any to fit my hooves.

^^ You were expecting it to get better in...hours?

You must be a quick healer.

I wouldn't be expecting to see a difference til the morning, at best.

...and how old were the photos?

Do you think the velvet jacket, kipper tie and lamb chop sideburns gave it away?

What... like your avatar you mean?

The photos were from 2015... maybe they know that 9 years into a marriage a slight smile is possible, but after 15 years there's no way that photo could have been recent?

No... the real problem was this. After my mate in Korat countersigned the photo I duly went down to Trendy to submit the application. I have a second UK passport, and when at Trendy found that I also needed to photocopy every page in that passport, at which point I realised the photos in my application were from the same set as that second passport, issued in 2015.

To be fair the girl at Trendy noticed this... but my choice was chancing it, or outright forgery and risking falsely countersigning new photos... which I wasn't comfortable with.

It's my fault really... and I still have an itchy crotch.

get to the closest mini mart. Pick up Dettol, go home and take an extra long shower using the Dettol as your nether regions wash. Dont apply anything other than a cooling powder for the night. If it still itches like hell go to a freaking hospital. Its not exactly like athletes feet mate.

During yesterdays morning walk with Bruno I ended up flat on my back being dragged down the soi on a bed of mud and today I am sore all over.

The local council have been digging up the road laying water pipes and there is shit everywhere.

A veritable death trap and it has been like this for over 2 years.

The application form asks for a countersigned photo and the email I've had requesting new, more recent photos says one must be signed by the same countersignatory as in the original application, but if he isn't available to do a whole new application with a new countersignatory.

OK. had a look at the UK website. They have this bit (new to me):

When you must get a signature and who can sign:
renewal of a passport if your appearance has changed and you cannot be recognised from your existing passport

Countersigning passport applications and photos - GOV.UK)

That's strange... I'm sure that it was mandatory to get a photo countersigned. Apart from the affects of another 10 years of married bliss my appearance hasn't changed.

I think there must be a different application form when applying for a new passport from overseas/Thailand?

Having an issue with a neighbor who has decided to stack shit up against his back wall (which is the wall way out by my back forty corner are) and his obnoxious constantly barking dog can now stand and look over the wall and my Lab hates that dog and they get after it. They had met up once on the street and my dog tore it up. My wife went to him and politely asked him if he could move the stuff away from the wall so his dog cant get up on it. He is a grumpy old fukr and said No. This old guy is on his last leg and he is always coughing out a lung being he is big cig smoker and it has taken its toll. Anyway I am not sure who will die first, him or the dog. If that dogs decides to take a jump into my yard it will meet an ugly fate.

I have always applied from overseas, and never, in 30 years got a photo countersigned. BUT- you know, who understands shit nowadays. If they are telling you to do it, easiest just to follow.

ON edit - my first passport was issued in UK, and photo was countersigned.

    Mendy,
Of course constantly rubbing not only spreads the funk you have but also keeps it irritated and uncomfortable. I recommend when you go to the pharmacy pick up some Antihistamine pills. This will stop the itching and help with the healing.

For fucks sake it's so fucking simple. Prickly heat powder, any flavour / scent will have it sorted overnight.
shower and wash the infected area thoroughly. Thoroughly dry, liberally apply powder, it'll sting a little at first, but in a good way, then comfortable relief.
it's available everyfucking where, it's cheap and effective.
    What more can I say.
Do I need to send you a can?

depends how bad he has let it get, could be that he is growing mushrooms in there now, and the skin has open, bleeding cracks the size of the grand canyon - that might require some serious doctor visit.

Shouldn't this be in the 'Blokes Cookery' thread?

I can try mixing it with ootai's fish paste, then even if I have a rash at least I won't go hungry.

^ It hasn't got to that stage yet thankfully.

^^ A kind offer but no need Cujo... we have Prickly Heat in Korat.

What I find with the cooling powders is that they give immediate relief, ie when going to bed etc, but once I get a sweaty crotch the itchiness starts up again and there's still a rash underneath all the powder.

There's no visible mushrooms down there but I reckon I must have some kind of fungal infection. I'll just try everything.
