Not in the UK:
"EDUCATION SYSTEM IN THE UK
Across the UK there are five stages of education: early years, primary, secondary, Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE). Education is compulsory for all children between the ages of 5 (4 in Northern Ireland) and 16. FE is not compulsory and covers non-advanced education which can be taken at further (including tertiary) education colleges and HE institutions (HEIs). The fifth stage, HE, is study beyond GCE A levels and their equivalent which, for most full-time students, takes place in universities and other HEIs and colleges."

I refer you to the link I gave. The official UK government site.

Reception is the word you are looking for ……
My kid is in a British school in Songkhla, and my other kid was before him. That was the first time I'd heard the term 'Reception' for a school year.

Like KS2 and Upper KS2 are part of Primary.

Working from home does have its downsides.
Cat vomited on my stupidly expensive mat. Nice.
Ate a huge buffet last night and went home to a power cut that lasted all night.
Everyone was designated a bathroom each and advised only to flush a number 2.
Lekky came back on at 6:30, just in time for me to shower after about 2 hours sleep.
Sitting here at work hating life.
And it's pissing rain.
Lang may yer lum reek...
Stung right in the middle of the forehead by some insect when cycling 4-5 days ago.
