^ Thankfully there’s a clock over the television showing the date, day of the week, hour, and time of the day. Otherwise I wouldn’t know.

Friday night and a Saturday beer or two is my anchor point for weekly navigation, seen me right for over 40 years.
The quip Herman posted about the coronavirus lockdown was good.
”It’s like Vegas at my house. We’re losing money by the minute, cocktails are served anytime, and nobody knows what time it is.”
Been qeueing for an hour outside a supermarket with a hangover from hell.
I have to load up because it's Easter weekend and all the shops are shut.
I'm still half way in the queue and my bowls have started moving.
The turtles head is touching cloth!!
Do I ditch my turn in line or shit my pants?
^Do you already have bog roll? If not, shit your pants.
Seriously, Good Friday. A very holy day for us Catholics . . . and I've been told to paint the fence and the wall. "A second coat is always a good thing", says wife. (Before you laugh - it's a very long fence and a very long wall.)
I remind her of my vow to God to cease all manual labour during these holiest of days . . . to which she replies that that is not the case and I'm thinking of the Jewish Shabbes - and that's only one day a week.
Note to self . . . must read bible, or at least excerpts to support my causes.
Be nice to have some more input in the dinner thread Balders.
Meanwhile, in the David48 Household, knowing which day it is currently is not a problem.
Dad, Dad ... 4 days till Easter (meaning Easter Sunday when the Rabbit drops off a few eggs)
Dad, Dad ... 3 days till Easter
Dad, Dad ... 2 days till Easter
Dad, Dad ... Easter tomorrow ... I'm going to stay up all night and watch where he hides the eggs.

Snoring ...
Good night Son
...I believe we have a "daily snore" thread...
Relish the time, it passes far too quickly.
So, I knew this was coming... all of me own making... I was asked to teach an Automation and Robotics course this semester which I thought could be really dry and boring if it was all textbook/theory based. Soooooo, instead, we've been doing lots of case studies (that's right, the automobile industry from the 1940s to present day was the starter; mobile phone production next...), and also they all had to get Arduino sets, download the IDE software and start making stuff. It's fun and interesting, but now their kits are arriving, it's endless bloody questions about electronics and coding...
I don't know, check the bloody Arduino site and follow the instructions... (I'm just gonna give them all Troy's personal email...)
Cycling should be banned!!!
^Just stamp down quickly on centrifuge speed control projects.
Been wanting to buy a new dish washing cloth for a week. At the local Tesco they have the majority of that aisle roped off, by order of the provincial govt the sign says. So cannot buy any cloth or scouring item associated with washing dishes (or buy electrical batteries either), but can buy a plastic coathanger from the same aisle. All-in-all I suspect the supermarket has been too lazy to properly separate the items that can be sold from those embargoed by the govt directive. Unless of course dish washing accessories are an overlooked virus vector cleverly spotted by the Thai authorities.
^ I can post you up Armstrong's mohawk if you get desperate?
I'm free...
A centrifuge would be simple enough. You could spin with a DC brush less motor and have a timer controlled from an LCD display.
I'm sure people can come up with something far more interesting. A pity I left my Arduino kits back in Germany. I could do with something like that to tinker with at the moment.
I forgot to add my moan...wife has me digging trenches at the moment to put in new hedges. Also wants it all irrigated with blue pipe installed around the garden.
There are some very good Arduino sites out there. What age group and level are you teaching?
