That depends on the colour... A white will take you nowhere (1 or 2mg), it's for children; ditto yellow (5mg; a handfull of these are alright)...

These are the babies you want:

10mg diazis (the same as 1mg xanax which are purple and oval).

I mean, it'd do fuk all for me, and you're a big lad, so mehhhh. But, a couple of 10mg tablets if your body is not used to it, add to say three or four beers, and you should be on your way to a relaxing sleep. Without beer, one 10mg should still take the edge off a hangover and relax you a tad.

Take one, see how you feel after 35 minutes; one may do the job? If not, you can always take the second one.

P.s. don't mix prescription drugs with alcohol!

P.p.s. If bought in Thailand or somewhere dodgy then any colour is possible.

... and everyone ignores the dangers of a DVT - Deep Vein Thrombosis.

Flight socks are a good start.

Adequate exercise and hydration an added benefit.

Get one DVT through ignorance, your Veins scar and susceptible to more.

    I know ... I've had three.

I'll write it up one day ... close to died from the first one, a pulmonary embolism.
Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

And what happens to all the beer going through one's system while one is unconscious ?

Does one piss one's pants right there in the plane seat, or what ??

It might as well have been cake. Woke up with 5 and a half hours of flight left. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was good though and helped me through

Yea, those long, long, long airplane treks suck big time. My travels from Northeast USA to Thailand are now dreaded affairs. On my first 2 or 3 there was the adrenaline factor to help soften the trip. No longer. Over the years have made more than 40 of those onerous treks. Hate 'em with a passion. The shortest of those treks that I've managed was a 24 hours total. Usually run 26-28 hours airport to airport. And getting worse - since the post 9-11 refit of security measures the flight schedules were adjusted to add longer layovers to allow for security checks. Then add 4-6 hours of land travel. Sleeping on a plane is a random series of short naps. Upon arrival of course you are 12 hours out-of-sync so yawning at 1 PM and wide awake at 3 AM.

But, still a tad bit faster than a boat.

Finishing the year with a dose of the flu. Last 60 hours has been appalling. Feeling slightly human today. Thank God we are having a mini break on homestay guests but has been disappointing not being able to interact with my daughter and her family.

Thanks Dillinger. Will be looking for some decent bacon soon in Makro. And thanks to the PM well wishers. And BTW, take drugs. After two shitty nights I took two caps of Ponstan Forte 500 mg for the body aches this morning. Kicked it very quickly and still going strong after nine hours. Amusingly I see this pack expired in December 2017, looks like we got it in Dubai in 2015.

The wife used the car as secure storage space during last night's NY party. Today the car smells a mixture of durian and stale fish and there are 3 bottles of whisky that I couldn't find last night.

    Happy New Year...

Maybe you got the flu from interacting with your daughter and her family?
Hope you get over it quickly.

No ootai, was already coming down with it when they arrived. I got it off a homestay guest that checked out a couple of days before I realized I had it. That guest was in a party of four and they were travelling in one vehicle back to Bangkok so I suspect more than she was ill when they finished. Unfortunately I passed it onto a mate, again before I realized I had it. Once I recognize I've got a bug of some description I will take extra precautions to prevent transmission. Managed to not infect the wife, that would have been a real issue. I'm thinking this is only the third or maybe fourth time I've had proper flu, not just a random virus.

Just one moan today; wifey invited some friends round yesterday for a NY brunch, settled on the floor as usual in front of the TV, seven of them yakking sixteen to the dozen while watching some hysterical woman on some Thai/Lao soap, but that's a pointless moan as it's the national pastime, so I was having a siesta, felt peckish and still a bit groggy hobbled to the kitchen for a sandwich, reached for the Marmite and carelessly slipped my hand a steaming bowl of those fcuking monster beetles, at which point the stench hit...no sarney!
