They're pleasant enough while purring I suppose, but when that stops they become unpredictable. Must be about 45 years now, was drying off after a shower at my gf's place, never again in the presence of a cat. That was one scary event, sort of thing that takes a while to overcome.

Late 70s with a delightful lady that was obsessed with cats, bladdy things were everywhere and can't speak for them but I think they resented my intrusion into their domain; woke up one morning with a cat sitting on my chest, haunched shoulders and eyes piercing into mine, that hissed and spat straight into my mouth, I can still taste it, pure evil.

That's my life experience with cats, never been near them since.

And I hear they're selfish cnuts too.

ChokDee is the biggest ShiTzu there ever was; he has freakishly long elegant limbs and towers over all the other ShihTzus he meets; he is a ShiTzu war dog terrier, and with his long limbs very good at Brazillian Shu Jit Tzu, monstering all the Maltese and Pugs in the doggy day care (where he also bullies the terriers)! H e has a lovely gentle nature (the vet nurse may not agree...), but holds his own against all the handbag dogs in the area! I would take him back to Thailand, but worry that he'd terrorise our two Bangkeow crosses...
