So, explain to us lesser mortals why he was "smart" to buy a shift drive? As the only one with a car he could have bought *any* car and he would still be the effing driver.

I do give people a lot of slack, but you really are coming over as daft as Lulu says you are.
You're welcome.
You coming over as quite daft.
He's smart because he is, and picking a manual is smart because they have fewer problems and can be push-started if the battery is flat. To imply he's not smart based on Cyrill'e comment, or on your slight walk-back above, is a tad mean. Don't be like Lulu and slur my family if you have a gripe against me. That's what the red was for.
Reading comprehension difficulties? I alreay explained to Cyrille that just because he's the only one with a car doesn't mean he's the only one capable of driving. It's that his friends only drive automatics.
Ooopsssss, was that another ommission? Yes it was. Oh my Goooood! FFS, I didn't explain, in an unimportant inconsequential, offhand post that my son's friends are mostly licensed but only drive automatics.
Did all this dialogue really matter? FFS.

Cujo need something explained, and I asked what.
That sparked the likes of Numbprick and Lu, then you and Cy to show just how much you need to find fault, resulting in all of you looking a bit foolish.

I didn't realise you guys read my posts with such relish that you need unimportant details explained, or with such avid interest to find something to jump on that you will imply my son is not smart because he bought a manual/is lumbered with being desiganted driver, whatever.
