Ok as promised the above mentioned painting in progress , this will give an idea as to how the finished picture gets up from the basic canvas .

My colours ( all artist grade )

1. French Ultramarine . 2. Davy's Grey . 3. Raw Sienna . 4. Cadmium Yellow

5. Raw Umber 6. Juanne 7. Titainium White .

Now I aint gonna put a pic of an empty white canvas looks like , so we skip to the next stage where something is happening ,, here I have covered the canvas in black gesso a week ago as I want a dark underpaint behind the picture . I have roughly sketched in with some thin paint the major parts of the pic .I have blocked in the sky / background area with a thin blend of white + french ultra / raw umber using a fan bristle brush , then removing most of it with a paper towel .

Again here I am just thinly building up my picture ,, nothing is fixed at this stage , with oils we can move em about for the next week ,, if really fed up we can gesso over the whole job and start again .

Working forward now on the closer trees and also chopping and changing colours on the little footbridge

Ok this is as far as I can go this week , I have run out of light , so will have to wait till next weekend to continue ,, a long way to go yet ,, I can see one big mistake staring me right in the kisser ,, it can and will be easilly corrected ,, any ideas any one ??

Please jump in with any ideas you might have , I have big shoulders ( trouble is the rest of it matches

Ok thanks for taking a look ,, will stick some more progress up next weekend when I can get back at it
