Sorry no painting just yet BUT some extremely good news this week as I have been discharged from oncology as my treatments have been successful , I had literally no sleep Tuesday night before Wednesdays meeting at the hospital then I got no sleep Thursday night cause I was so excited about the results ,, Jan was beside me again in the hospital and hugged me and clung to me like a limpet mine , so lucky to have such a loving loyal Thai wife who’s had to put up with so much crap with me over the last year.
When the going got tough she was there behind me
Anyway on the downside you’ll have to put up with me ruining a few more canvas’s yet before I sign off :smileylaughing:
That is good news. Now get cracking on some paintings.
Great news, Nigel. Congratulations.
Sorry I do keep trying to post but it keeps logging me out
Blustery day on Frinton beach oil on a bit of oil paper.
sorry for lack of paintings , I’m working on a secret portrait for someone and it’s taking a time to get right

That's wonderful unusual to see a seascape portrait shape redolent of all those great Railway Seaside posters of the golden age steam.

Sorry about the lack of paintings lately , 2024 has been a disaster health wise and I’ve spent so much time in and out hospitals , however the latest investigation has come out 100% clear ,, so I am hoping to be able to get going again with a more productive 2025
Glad to hear that! Stay healthy.
Cheers Wills ,, although the serious stuff was given an all clear this poxy PMR keeps flaring ,, into crisis mode Friday night , doc came out Saturday sorted me , they reckon it’s gonna be 6 weeks to get my steroid levels correct .
Cant stress enough how lucky I am to have dear little Jan helping me to get mobile enough to do the daily body essentials ,,
Lets all hope for a better 2025

Now for something completely different ..
Potentially next year for those who are interested you might well be seeing a lot more of me ( literally )
I want to have a go at painting The Blackfriars Inn which sits on the north side of the Thames at the end of Blackfriars Bridge , now I’m friends with a young man from the Chelsea area who is a very skilled and educated artist who vlogs his plein air painting exploits on you tube and we are going to try and set it up so we paint it together and he will put it up on his you tube channel , I’ll post a link on here if we manage it.
This will be a fantastic excersise and show the difference between an old retired truck driver duffer and a talented young man with an art education
