I am very pleased to say my wife has now been granted UK citizenship , it's been a long road to get here with many hoops and hurdles to climb over and jump through , but in my opinion it's gonna be worth every penny as we now have freedom to travel together and to come and go without visas etc.

Now then thats enuf about us , I thought I would put this together to act as a rough guide and try to help others just setting out along this path , mabe your at the serious bf/gf engaged stage now with the bf living in the UK . Bear in mind these costs are likely to only go one way and that is up !

1. Fiancee visa,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,£810

2. FLR ......................... £850

3. UK test...................... £34 each time untill you pass

4. ILTR ....................... £ 1350

5. Naturalisation ........... £ 836

6. UK passport.............. £77

All in all .................. £3957 ofcourse goes without saying her airfare over around the £800 mark , plus you might well need to use a visa agency to get her first visa to get out Thailand possibly around the £2000 mark , allthough I'm not reccomending doing it that way , a lot do . At the least you will have to find money for translation of her doc's and have them certified as correct.

Good luck to any of you setting out down the path , if you wanna ask me anything to help anywhere along the way please feel free to do so , on here or PM me I will do my best to help you.

One BIG important tip to start with KEEP ALL THE EVIDENCE YOU CAN good luck
