Its not XP it is hardware, my kids pirated Xp and hardware (7500 baht) put my machine to shame! (Maybe I will just rip the guts out of his when he is at school - but that seems kind of mean!)
The Nvidea is an offshoot from ASUS, it is a 512MB card PCi Express, it cost 1500 baht if that.
15,000 for a fucking video card ? the world has gone mad,
like I said, buying a PS3 might be cheaper, better games too
the card is crap.......PERIOD.
What ever this sim your are playing, well it aint the GPU issue if such a crap card is an improvement.
But for shits and giggles, whats the actual model designation of this 1500b wonder card.
Butterfly, 15k is entry level for a "decent" card, well maybe not entry but meh, you wanna play the latest and greatest games...... best let the moths outta ya wallet.
so how much is an expensive card for a gamer ?![]()
how much is a PS3 again ?![]()
CPU: Intel Core i5 750

Get the right RAM and reinstall Windows and you'll be sorted.
Unfortunately you won't be able to salvage much from your current system.
Maybe the DVD rom drive & maybe the case.
P4's suck. Get a multi core system FROM INTEL - don't mess with that AMD junk.
You don't need a graphics card over 4000 baht. NVIDA 9800 GT is a good choice.
It is possible to build a really quiet PC. Get a Zalman CPU cooler.
Barack Hussein Obama lying polecat. Libs Only Comply With Laws They Agree With.

Its not the RAM, the RAM is dual channel, its this stupid motherboard, it uses dual channel RAM but cannot operate it, it only runs on single channel!
I complained to Intel...boy that did a lot of good!
Basically, you buy the 101Dgcc that requires the most expensive RAM, but it cannot even run it in Dual channel mode!... fucking crazy!
So you think your current MoBo is shit yet you want to replace it with something similar..... ive never heard of a decent "intel" board.
and you know that how ? run CPUinfo, a very convenient utility that will give you the specs of your CPU, MB and RAM frequency and speedOriginally Posted by Missismiggins

I like intel because of the reliability, maybe I need to take a chance...I have used ASUS and Microtek (Microstar???) but one of the previous boards used those fucking VIA Chipsets...what a pike of shit!
And I wouldn't touch anything that required AMD...see them fry when the fan packs up!
Seriously though, if there is a better alternative to an Intel, then I am open ears...gigabyte or whatever...like I say, from past experience, I have tended to stick to Intel.
Giga is ok, MSI used to be good, not sure now, I would stay away from ASUS despite the popularity
Giga is a good bet,
have you tried entering the biosOriginally Posted by Missismiggins

Do you think I am STUPID? I can try to enter the gates of fucking heaven, but it will not get this MB to run in dual channel mode!!
Go take a look at the 101 MB Specs...it cannot be run in dual channel mode...FFS I even have apologies from INTEL...please, don't give out crap advice, it just wastes people's time!
miggins , here is a review of CPUs with some pretty charts which might put it all into perspective
