Without Looking! (A Windows 7 thread)

I am making a bit of a personal bet here - I.E the differences inherrent in the characters that inhabit TD and the characters that inhabit Thai visa.

I saw a post tonight on TV that was about the release of Windows 7, and about 90% of the responses were to the effect that..."Fuck. I have DOS 1.0 - works for me"

Windows 3.1 works great! - why change a good thing"

I am going to have a look tomorrow and see what TD computer forum posters say, I imagine (nay hope) that it will be a lot different to these old "stuck in the mud" cunts.

Is it just me? Do I expect a little more openess and responsiveness from the TD brigade -

I'll give it a go, was in early with Vista but went back to XP pretty quick. Vista. What a disaster. Probably just a scam to get people to spend money before Windows 7 came out.

The only things I need windows for are to run a couple of programs, these aren't even microsoft programs, so it really wouldn't matter to me if I was using windows 95 or the latest, don't use msn, outlook or any of their other shite either.

I am just getting the hang of XP, all of my musical software loves it. Vista is not so good, for what I want out of life. I use word a lot but I don't bother much with the rest of 'office'. I like to have the latest stuff, but only if it is actually better, not just for the sake of it. I won't be going near '7', untill they thrash all the bugs out of it.

I have XP, and most of the people I know that have Vista hate it. And most have gone back to the shop and demanded XP. I have never tried Vista, so can only go by what others have said about it.

I tried Vista and thought it was shit.
I have been using XP Pro Amit Talkin Version for ages and I think it is superb.

I downloaded Windows 7 yesterday and will give it a try when all the drivers are available

Silly female question - do I have to buy the new version or will it just download by itself, or do i have to bake a cake for my neighbour who probably has it?

I suggest you bake that cake for a start.

You can use it for one month without using a product key. Then you can add another month three times for a total of 4 months testing, if you like it. That tool to reset the counter and get another month is from Microsoft and it is legal. Then you can still buy a legal copy of the same version and use the key to legalize your copy. Or you can get a cracked version but that always has the increased risk of catching bugs.
