I kept popping in there for the exact same reason, its like a playpen for the Aussies, out of sight, out of mind.

No favicon which isnt anything major but I always like to see them. The green and red combinations not too easy on the eyes but what the ferk do I know.

I always put a few keywords in bold although Ive no idea if it makes any difference SEO wise.

It just needs a native speaker to go through the text and the 2nd paragraph on the first page needs to be a tad lower.

^Ahh, good, thats not my browser that makes it look odd.

^^ Don't think bolding or big fonts work anymore, well apart from your headers etc.

Well just checked on google in Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia and UK and the search "jomtien restaurant" now puts the site at first or second place on all as opposed to 3rd or more, the suprising thing is that it hasn't been recached so the version google has is just the 2kb welcome text, but, it does have about 10 real weak links to it of which about 5 have been indexed, so even real crappy links are better than none

Well it finally got indexed a couple of days ago, suprising how long google takes to index stuff that it doesn't consider important, so how are the words doing, hmmm, not too bad really, "Jomtien Pasta" is there at number 29, "Jomtien Pizza" at 44, as a wild card we got indian in there and "Jomtien Indian" comes in at 35, that aint bad considering its only been up for a week, I got to admit I think google will drop it for a week then bring it back but with better results, also if the guy works a bit on it that will help it immensely.

    huh ?

but cheers for this thread DD, quite helpful and reasonably simple to understand (i know I know, insert dumb aussie joke here) but I often find website building stuff is very technical, like when FF starts talking about coding and I'm confused after the first 3 words.

With this site it is aimed at multiple keyword combinations to be on first page, ie Jomtien as that is where it is, if it aint seen it aint gonna get visits, even shite like "Jomtien garlic bread" and it is on first page, at present there are probably several hundred word combinations that will bring it up onto that ever important first page of google, even if people aren't searching for food they still may see it and subconciously remember it.

Lets have a look at crap sites, ok on googling "Koh Chang Hotels" I get over half a million options, 3 companies have paid to be at the top and 8 companies have paid to be on the right, so we got 10 web sites that are on that first page due to the merit of their site and how good google thinks it is, yet not one of those in the first 10 are direct links to a hotel sites, they got agents and resellers in there but not one that goes directly to a hotel on Koh Chang, is that because google is shite or is it because the hotel web sites are shite and the resellers set up better more optimised sites?

Just checked on alexa and got to admit I am suprised it has even registered on there jomtienrestaurant.com - Traffic Details from Alexa
The site has jumped in at the 25,567,191 busiest site in the world, probably could do with a bit more traffic
