Thats just the power adapter for a router?

    Or a laptop or something?

Those things are interchangeable with the right voltage. Brand matters not.

AND that one you want is single voltage, not dual. You can easily buy a dual voltage 100-240V 50/60 Htz unit.
The one they supplied is 110-120V only for some reason. Dickheads. And this is for their latest flagship router.

I'd happily buy a dual voltage one if it was available. Netgear themselves told me they don't do one yet. So I have a brick, or I can waste money on a transformer.

This would be an easy solution if I can get the fucking site to work.

EDIT - Woah I kinda went over the top in my reply. Deleted. WTF was I thinking

    Anyway won't work if you're 110v.

Just need to know the size of that pin^ and they are usually very much standard.

Netgear isn't going to have their very own proprietary plug custom for their stuff.

    What size jack is it?

The one you linked to seemed to say a 5mm jack but no idea.

If you have a lot of electronics laying around see if you have something that will plug into and fit that hole

    Does this help?

    https://www.flashrouters.com/netgear...l-power-supply

In order to use the Netgear R8000 & R8500 outside of the United States a 100-240V International compatible power supply is required.

Normally the Netgear R8000 & R8500 ships with a US only power supply, so this add-on is a must for anyone who wishes to travel with this top of the line Netgear router.

This is not an official Netgear power supply, but our team has matched up the exact power specs and has done extensive testing to ensure this supply works properly with the Netgear R8000 & R8500.
Just a regular ole everyday AC Adapter 5.5mm X 3mm

    • Input voltage: 100-240V ~ 1.5A, 50 - 60Hz
    • Output voltage: 19V ~ 3.16A 60W
    • DC connector size: 5.5*3.0mm

I know but my borderline OCD means I just want to buy the fucking proper thing and be done with it.

Yeah slick I'm sure it is a regular ole everyday adapter if you have the socket to fit it.

You do realize that the "proper thing" is a ching chong Chinese part with a Netgear sticker on it right?

Its not a custom proprietary AC adapter for Netgear. Tons out there in that jack size and voltage, hell, 'dual' input & frequency to boot.

Clearly you lost you AC adapter and don't know what size adapter to buy because you don't know what size the the little jack is.

Anyway if you wanna continually bang your head about it, and need a giant transformer thingy as well, up to you.

    Can you not read?

This is a brand new Netgear router shipped to me from the US, but the cnuts only put a 110 adapter in it. That's probably a ching chong chinese part anyway, since every fucking thing is nowadays.

Someone in the UK had the same problem but managed to source it from that taobao link.

If the fucking website worked properly, I'd have it by now and I wouldn't be asking.

If there are "tons" out there with that size jack in 110/220 then post the fucking link, because frankly your waffling, while I'm sure meant well, is as useful as a foreskin in a jewish nudist camp.

Does post #35 not solve your fucking problem? With the added benefit of doing it with 110/220 voltage and 50/60 htz?

Or do you just want a god damn Netgear sticker from a massively retarded Chinese website.

No it doesn't you fucking idiot. If you'd read post #24 you'd see I told you it was the WRONG SIZE JACK.

FFS man you really do appear to have reading difficulties.

I can't tell if you're overdue for a visit to SpecSavers or just a fucking retard.

    Technical Parameters:
    Input voltage: AC220V-240V 50 / 60Hz
    Output voltage: DC 19V3.16A
Output interface: 5.0 round hole with needle

Ok had my R9000 delivered last week and also managed to buy a genuine 200-240v Netgear charger for the R9000 from China. I actually bought a R8500 charger as it uses the same power output (19v) and isn't the brick type, i.e. the transformer is built-in at the plug. The one i bought still had a US plug but at least it was 200-240v with the correct output. I bought it from here (plenty more in stock)

    https://world.taobao.com/item/530566592890.htm

but had to use bhiner.com agency to buy it for me from China and ship it to UK as my Chinese is non-existent!! Cost about $25 incl. shipping to UK. Netgear part number is 332-10634-01. Of course I could have bought 3rd party adaptor on ebay but all of them are brick type and being non genuine, i wouldn't be sure of the quality...i cannot risk blowing up a $375 router.

As for the R9000 just one word: WOW!!! This beast is amazing for 2.4ghz & 5ghz wifi coverage, blows the pants off other QCA based routers I've used, such the R7800 and Linksys EA8500.
    https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nig...1177909#M43074

Look at the jack. This is the one they bought from China.

Look at the jack. This is available online from the states AND THEY HAVE A PHONE NUMBER YOU CAN CALL & SHIT TO CONFIRM BECAUSE SPEAKIE ENGLISHIE... Plus dual input voltage.

R8500 AC Adapter will work with an R9000 FFS. They aren't making different AC Adapters specific to a model.

Anyway good luck on the chinese site.

Lots of stupid people about. They buy the wrong equipment and then look for stuff to make the wrongly purchased item work. Normal people buy the correct item and do not have to piss about with Chinese websites.

My wife buys shit of Taobao EVERY FUCKING DAY. Cheap stuff and some of it is "you get what you pay for" but some real bargains to be had. Bought an awesome airfryer fo 79 RMB. (you do the math) and some fucking disgusting steaks that even the cat won't eat.

Might I just add that I don't know what it's like where you are but bike and trike couriers are booming due to this Taobao thing. It's huge. They don't even deliver to the door anymore. There is a bank of cabinets at the gate and they send you a code when they deliver which tou scan into the machine and it opens the cabinet.
What concerns me is the amount of packaging and delivery (carbon footprint) created for the delivery of some cheap, insignificant trinket. Seriously, we are all fucked.
The price of buying some of these things, delivered, is ridiculous. I mean she has bought things for 2 or 3 RMB that come delivered in a (small) sturdy cardboard box.

You actually posted an article about stuff shipping with US chargers and then say "Normal people buy the correct item" - when Netgear don't supply it.

However I am going to forgive your fuckwittedness and award you brownie points for inadvertently posting the solution.

I was able to buy it from bhiner.com and it is on it's way to my Shanghai PO Box.

    I owe you a pint.
