Of course I could have bought 3rd party adaptor on ebay but all of them are brick type and being non genuine, i wouldn't be sure of the quality...i cannot risk blowing up a $375 router.
As for the R9000 just one word: WOW!!! This beast is amazing for 2.4ghz & 5ghz wifi coverage, blows the pants off other QCA based routers I've used, such the R7800 and Linksys EA8500.

R8500 AC Adapter will work with an R9000 FFS. They aren't making different AC Adapters specific to a model.
