    Windows 10 Update 23 Jan 2017

This morning I chose to do a major update. Things did not go well.
    The whole format has changed.
Most importantly the SLEEP & SHUTDOWN MODES HAVE DISAPPEARED.
    The help modules are useless.

They may reappear after a reboot.

    Have you done a reboot?
    If no, why not?
If yes, why don't you say so.

That option has disappeared as has shutdown & sleep.
All I can do is manually shutdown by turning the system off.

Well, do a shutdown then and a manual restart after.
It is the same as a reboot except that a reboot restarts the computer automagically.

yes downgrade is the only solution,

I would recommend a full downgrade to WinXP for better security and usability,

To restart or shutdown you could hit Ctrl, Alt, Delete, the screen that appears will have a shutdown button in the lower right corner.

Two days I had that win 10 update.

Friggin' thing took forever, it automatically restarted the computer 2 times.

... and it removed my cCleaner ... do Microsoft the legal right to do that?

Main page. Press the Windows symbol on the bottom LHS.
At the bottom you will find the camera symbol; there is a small circular symbol.
That is where you will find the options of SLEEP, SHUTDOWN etc

Which seems to be the growing trend as most learn what win10 is about and dumping it.
Obviously, the geniuses at Microsoft aren't up to speed yet or they don't give a fuck [which might be the case].

    Uninstall 10 and reinstall 7.

...it's a cancer. Of the last 3-4 years, most every device has auto-installed win10 works.

^ I can't reinstall win 7 and this device came loaded with win 8 Pro.

But I liked the feel and useability of Win 7.

Win 10 seems to be about what Microsoft wants ... that SUCKS
