    Jumping keyboard whilst typing..

    Hi..my new S/H Lenovo L430..whilst typing, the cursor jumps around..the letters finish up in a jumbled mess..as I type reasonably fast its a pain..

    When I purchased Laptop..for travel only..14 inch..compared to my 17 inch..it came with W7 Pro installed..plus drivers and some software..I have done all the updates..I am wondering if the forgot ...Company in Eastern States..and are useless for phone support..if they did not install drivers for touchpad /keyboard....

    Laptops-and-netbooks :: ThinkPad-L-Series-laptops :: ThinkPad-L430 - Lenovo Support (AU)

    Thanks if somebody who knows W7..could look at link and see if this is what I need.
    Linux user..
    Coming to BKK Monday and would like to sort it before then..

    Wipe clean the touchpad mouse.

    There's probably some j̶i̶z̶m̶ food stuck on it.

    The usual cause of a jumping cursor whilst typing is an active touchpad. If you usually use an external mouse then you can disable the touchpad completely. If you normally use the touchpad and only want to disable it when tying, then I don't think there is any windows support and you need some freeware to do the job.

    This link should explain and provide the assistance required:
    Disable Laptop Touchpad in Windows 10 / 8 / 7

    I disable my touchpad, by default, completely in Ubuntu and only enable it when required.

    Hi thanks for the replies..those keyboards look ok..will probably get one..

    After reading the link Troy sent..I may have solved the problem, by re positioning my hands on the keyboard..my palms must touch the edge of the touchpad, causing the cursor to flicker..problem solved..just the positioning to get used to..it doesn't help , if like me, you have very big hands..
